My Top 6 Revlon Lipsticks (Swatches)

Its no secret that I love Revlon lipsticks.  Be it Super Lustrous, Colorburst or Matte – Revlon has a great lineup of lipstick formulas. Apart from lipsticks, Revlon also has the Just Bitten Kissable balm stains and the Colorburst Lip Butters. In this post, I’ve picked out my favorite Revlon lipsticks for you ~

1. Revlon Plumsexxxy Lipstick : Rose Passion

I love this warm coral tinged pink shade! The formula is great – soft, smooth texture, excellent pigmentation and comfortable wear. It is a very flattering warmer season color for medium to dusky skin tones. On very fair or pale skin, it might look a bit brighter and more vibrant. I love pairing this with coral blushes. Reviewed HERE.

2. Revlon Colorburst Lipstick : Soft Rose

This is one of my favorite everyday wear lipsticks. The warm rosy pink gives a very flattering understated color to the lips and the moisturizing formula is lovely! Another lovely shade from the Colorburst range is Rosy Nude which is similar to Soft Rose but has a brownish undertone that makes it a great nude pink for medium to dusky complexions. Read review of Soft Rose HERE.

3. Revlon Matte lipstick : Really Red

Really Red is a gorgeous bright tomato red with a soft matte finish. I generally go for cool reds and would have never tried this shade had I not got it as a free gift with purchase. It looks bright without looking trashy and the matte formula is quite forgiving on the lips. One of my favorite red lipsticks. Yet to be reviewed but I’ve worn it HERE.

4. Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain : Smitten

This is my favorite shade from the Balm Stain range. Smitten is a melange of berry pink, fuchsia and purple and looks very pretty on darker complexions. Its deep without being vampy and pairs beautifully with pink/plum blushes. The formula has the long wear time of a stain while the balm components prevents it from being too drying on the lips. Reviewed HERE.

5. Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick : Cherries in the Snow

I have a few other shades from the Super Lustrous but this one is my favorite. Its a deep berry shade, more suited for evening wear if you’re wearing if full on and is a great shade for all skin tones. It might look a little redder on some skin tones but on me its a deep deep raspberry pink! Reviewed HERE.

6. Revlon Colorburst Lip butter : Cherry Tart

Last but not the least, I had to pick one of the Lip butters since I love the slick, moisturizing formula! Cherry Tart is one of the most wearable red lip colors I’ve come across and I love it! Its a cool cherry red, can be worn layered to fuller intensity or with just a single swipe for sheer color. I also love Raspberry Pie from this range but the color is in the same color family as Smitten and Cherries in the Snow so I did not include it in this post. Reviewed HERE.

[note color=”#FFE4C4″]So these are my Top 6 Revlon Lipsticks! Each of these is lovely – both shade-wise and formula-wise and if you’re looking for any shades in these respective color families, do check these out!

There are some shades that I do like a lot but didn’t include in this post – Rosedew (bright rose pink- Matte range), Red Lacquer (glossy coral orange – Super Lustrous range), Rosy Nude (brownish pink – Colorburst range), Raspberry Pie (deep berry – Colorburst lip Butter). Revlon has so many great lipsticks, its so difficult to pick just a few!

Do you have any favorites from Revlon? Let me know your recommendations in the comments below! [/note]

p.s – Some of the reviews linked above will lead to posts where the pictures were taken from my old camera which typically made swatched colors look warmer, more so since I took the pictures in more sunlight. The actual colors are closer to the ones shown here with 1 exception (#1 Rose passion).

I love cherries in the snow too, and usually wear it sheered out with a lip balm or as a lip stain. It gives the most perfect pink pout!
Abstract Orange from the Super Lustrous range is also quite good. Bronzey orange with pearl finish. It’s quite similar to NARS Autumn Leaves lipstick.

Ankita, the Rose Passion one looks very different in this swatch, and the swatch in its actual review. Which is closer to the actual shade? I’m thinking of ordering it online…

Hey Sakshi, MAC Mehr being matte would stay on longer and would be more pigmented as well. If the color suits you, go for it, Mehr and Cosmo look a little ashy on me personally but Soft Rose I absolutely love!
