Which Archie’s Girl are you?I’d like to be Betty in spirit and Veronica in style. But why choose 1 when one can be Sweet Betty by Day and Bold Veronica by night. Here are the looks I created ~ my adaptation of Betty and Veronica, using MAC products.
My Sweet Betty Look
For the Betty Look, I applied a wash of silvery pistachio green all over the eyes, winged liner and mascara. Applied a generous amount of coral blush on the cheeks and paired it with a coordinating glossy coral lip. I’m generally one for dramatic looks but I loved how this look turned out! See the list of MAC products used below ~
1. MAC Pistachio Green metallic pigment (LE – From Surf Baby Collection)
For this look, you can use the pigment Lucky in Love from MAC Archie’s Girls collection, its a similar shade.
2 & 3. MAC Blushes ‘Melba’ and ‘Fleur Power’ (from Permanent range)
I layered the 2 blushes to get the look. You can use Pearlmatte Face Powder in Flatter Me (Betty’s color) from MAC Archie’s Girls collection here.
4. MAC Cremesheen lipstick ‘Crosswires’ (from Permanent range)
I love Crosswires! Its such a pretty coral. You can use the lipstick Betty Bright from MAC Archie’s Girls collection here.
5. MAC Lipglass ‘Summer Sweetheart’ (from MAC Archie’s Girls collection)
Lastly, I used a soft peach gloss from the collection itself to finish my Betty Look!
My Bold Veronica Look
Inspired by the red and violet palette for Veronica from the Archie’s Girls collection, I created a shimmery purple smokey eye and paired it with a deep crimson lip. Very Veronica! MAC Smolder eye kohl was the key in creating this intense eye! See the list of products used below ~
1. MAC Smolder eye kohl (from Permanent range)
Smolder is THE product to use if you want to create smokey eyes. The rich black pigment smudges easily to create the smokey look!
2. MAC Mineralize eye shadow Young Punk (LE- Mineralize shades for 2012)
I used this mineralize range product to add some shimmer to the lids. Layered it over the matte purple eye shadow (no. 3 below).
3. MAC eye shadow Shock-a-holic (LE – Fall Color collection)
I love this matte intense purple color! Applied a wash of it over smudged Smolder kohl and then added the mineralize eye shadow over it to glam it up. Also used it along lower lash line. You can use the quad Spoiled Rich from MAC Archie’s girls collection along with Pearlglide liner Designer Purple to get this look.
4. MAC Pro long wear blush Whole Lotta Love (LE – Office Hours collection)
I love this bright matte pink blush! I used it very sparingly just to add a whisper of color to my cheeks. You can use Pearlmatte face powder in Veronica’s Blush from MAC Archie’s girls collection here.
5. MAC Lipstick Ronnie Red (from MAC Archie’s Girls collection)
Lastly, I used the gorgeous crimson red lipstick from the collection itself to create the red lip for my Veronica look!
