Veronica for a day ~ My MAC Archie’s Girls Makeover!

Hey everyone!

MAC’s much awaited Spring Summer collection Archie’s Girls is all set to launch across Indian stores on the 25th of April. I was invited by the MAC Team for an exclusive preview of the collection and to try out one of the looks. I chose to be Veronica for the day and MAC Senior Artist Sonic Sarwate gave me a fabulous makeover using some of the Veronica Pieces from the Archie’s Girls collection ~

The Archie’s Girls Collection is divided into 2 ranges of products – soft pastels for Betty and dramatic violets/reds for Veronica. The colors embody each characters style beautifully! Being dark haired like Veronica, I find the darker colors of her collection suit me better and I chose to go with a dramatic Veronica look.

MAC Senior Artist Sonic created a gorgeous graphic winged liner using purple and black. This eye was paired with contoured cheeks and a deep red lip. From the Archie’s Girls collection, Sonic used the Pearlglide liner Designer Purple along with Veronica’s eye shadow quad to trace the purple liner. For the cheeks, he used a light dusting of the Pearlmatte powder to highlight and add a hint of color. For the lips, he used the lipstick Ronnie Red from the Archie’s Girls collection.

I loved how he did the liner. After tracing the liner with the purple liner, he used 2 shades of purple from the quad to add some gradient on the lid which elevated the look completely! For the black liner, he used Blacktrack gel liner.

My picks from MAC Archie’s Girls collection ~

If you’re a red lip lover, then the lipstick Ronnie Red would figure on your list! I also like the look of the violet lipstick and gloss from Veronica’s collection. Betty’s lip shades might be a little pale for me so I’ll be skipping those. The Pearlglide liners are absolutely amazing! I am eyeing the shade Petrol Blue and Designer Purple (both from Veronica’s collection)!

The product details and prices of this collection will be up soon.

I wasn’t well when this event happened but the lure of this collection was too strong and I went anyway! I loved the look Sonic created for me especially the details of the winged liner – I picked up a few tips which will definitely come in handy next time I do a graphic liner!

Which Archie’s Girl are you – Betty or Veronica? What products do you want to pick from this collection? Share your comments below!
