I hope you’re excited about this season’s vibrant Style Statement that Lakmé unveiled recently! I have 2 gorgeous products to show you which are part of the Poptints Collection – a Lip Tint (Rs 800) and Nail Tint (Rs 250) in shade Orange Squash!
I do not know the shade name of the Lip Tint since the sample packaging doesn’t say but I’ll update this post as soon as I find out. The texture of the tint is great – its soft and smooth, gives a nice glossy finish and its very pigmented. Unlike the Clinique Chubby Sticks and the Revlon Just Bitten stains, it doesn’t need layering to get the intensity on the lips. I haven’t tested the wear time yet but my first impression is that it combines the best of Chubby sticks (smooth texture, moisturization) and the Revlon Balm Stains (intense pigments).
At the unveiling yesterday, I saw 2 other shades from this range – a soda orange (medium coverage with shimmer)) and a pale soft pink (sheer with shimmer). I’m guessing with the 8 shades in this range – Lakmé has covered a few basic shades in sheer/intense and creamy/shimmery finishes – looks a good mix!
(sorry for the lighting, this was taken yesterday at the launch event) -
The Nail Lacquers look good as well though from my previous experience, the finish is not as glossy as I would like. I’m hoping this batch of colors wouldn’t be like that. Orange Squash looks like a lovely pastel orange – more like Mango to me than Orange I’ll have a NOTD with it up soon!
For the nail looks this season, Lakme has 2 key looks – Orange base with Pink Tips and Mint base with Blue tips. Right now I have the Aquamarine (Mint-Blue) combo on my nails, courtesy Lakmé Salon!
p.s – I’ll be reviewing/swatching all the new products after Fashion Week. Will also be doing the tutorials for the key looks for this season! Don’t forget to follow me on Facebook and Twitter for Live Updates from the Fashion Week (starts 22nd March)!
