My take on the Product

The blush comes in a onion pink color compact that comes with a satin pouch. The packaging has a heavy, luxurious feel to it and the brush contained with it is quite soft and non-scratchy. In fact the brush reminds me of the brush that comes with Shiseido blushes – its go the same flat fluffy shape and soft bristles.

The blush has a fairly smooth texture and excellent color pay off. For soft color, one swipe is enough and 2 swipes add a little more intensity. There is no fall out or powderiness in the texture. It is fairly easy to blend and true to its claim, does deliver an excellent staying power of 8+ hours. The blush pigments are slightly staining which may attribute to its staying power. On the downside, if you have acne marks or blemishes or any dry skin, they may get slightly enhanced if you do not use a concealer/foundation to create an even base. The shade contains shimmer but its very fine and very evenly distributed. It did not highlight my pores or imperfections that shimmery blushes may do sometimes. Overall, i think the formula is excellent excellent for the staining pigments.

Rose Kiss is a gorgeous deep peachy pink shade with gold shimmer. The color looks warmer in the pan – leaning almost towards orange but on the skin, its looks like a warm coral pink. I find the shade very flattering, it adds a youthful glow to the face and is pigmented enough to show up well on deeper skin tones. If you’re looking for a brightening blush that perks up your face, this is a great pick! Highly recommended!

Shades : The range has 3 other shades apart from Rose Kiss – a soft orange, a cool rose pink and a soft nude pink. The range is limited but I think the all the shades are quite nice.

The GOOD about Lotus Herbals Purestay Blusher Rose Kiss :

  1. Luxurious packaging ; comes with a good quality brush
  2. Smooth texture
  3. Excellent color pay off
  4. Blends easily
  5. Long wear
  6. Contains soft gold shimmer ; non-gritty
  7. Great shade for all skin tones
  8. Preservative -free

The NOT-SO-GOOD about Lotus Herbals Purestay Blusher Rose Kiss :

  1. Mildly staining pigments – may enhance spots/pigmentation/redness

Overall Verdict

Lotus Herbals Purestay Blusher Rose Kiss  is a lovely deep peachy pink containing gold shimmer that gives a fresh, youthful look to the face. The formula is nearly flawless – smooth texture, excellent color pay off and long wear time. I love the fact that the shimmer is uniformly distributed and very very fine – it doesn’t enhance pores at all. The only con I see is that the pigment is mildly staining so if you don’t wear a good coverage foundation underneath, the pigment stains scars/blemishes a bit drawing attention.

Rating : 4.5/5

Hi Ankita, great shade and looks so natural on you. I again have a query here. Please give me your suggestion. My face is oval with hidden cheek bones which make it not so good for blush. How should I apply blush when I am not blessed with high cheek bones like you?

Put a bronzer (matte ) (If you dont own a bronzer use a darker compact like loreal true match in cocoa under the regiod where you can feel your cheekbones (Feel your cheekbones through the skin to find out ) , then highlight using a warmer golden or lighter shade of blush on the upper region , That should lift up your cheekbones. do it subtly , then build up.

Hi Nishi, MAC Peaches is perfect but if you’re on a budget, do check out Inglot. I haven’t checked out the peach shades in Inglot, sorry can’t recommend the exact shade.
