My take on the Product

The L’Oreal Paris nail art stickers come in a pack of 18 stickers of varying sizes. There is a good size selection there so most women should be able to find a fit for their nails. The sticker is fairly easy to apply, you take it off from the sheet, set it first at the base of the nail and smooth it upwards along the length of the nail. These are quite long so you would need to remove the excess length. Just fold it over the tip of the nail and using a nail filer, file off the excess length.

I love the concept and the designs are fabulous but the issue I faced with these was the fit. I’m sure they’ve been designed to fit most nail shapes but I have pretty curved nails – along the length as well but more so along the width. So when I smoothed down the sticker on my nail, I saw some kinks and bends which spoil the whole look. Its like fitting a 2D shape (the sticker) onto a 3D shape (the nail). While it doesn’t look too obvious from a distance, up close, the finish looks a bit clumsy and untidy because of this.

The second issue I faced was the wear time. Even though L’Oreal claims upto 10 days of wear, my stickers started peeling off from the nail tip after 2 days. If you want to keep them on for long, you basically cannot do regular house work etc. as it is bound to come off! On my right hand, I also noticed the sticker getting stained with haldi (turmeric) while I had food. These are basically high maintenance!

Despite the shortcomings I’ve talked about above, I do like these for special occasions. If I want fabulous nails for a party, I will definitely be using these. They do look pretty amazing and different than usual polish on the hands. And mentioned by brand, there is no drying time and not much room for mistakes. It doesn’t require a nail paint remover either and doesn’t damage the nails. When the tip starts peeling, just peel the whole thing off your nail – it just requires a little bit of pressure and doesn’t leave behind any sticky residue on the nails.

Poudre D’Or is from the classic range – a matte black with gold rhinestones at the base. I generally go for glittery tips when I do these kind of manicures but this reverse one looks quite nice too. This one applied much better on my nails as compared to Disco Diamond and I do like the classy look of these one more than Disco Diamond!

The GOOD about L’Oreal Paris Le Nail Art Stickers :

1. Easy to use
2. No Drying time
3. Fabulous designs
4. Doesn’t damage the nails
5. Easy to file off
6. Doesn’t leave any sticky residue on the nails
7. Good size selection in each sticker

The NOT-SO-GOOD about L’Oreal Paris Le Nail Art Sticker :

1. High maintenance (else it peels off soon)
2. The fit may not be great on all nail shapes

Overall Verdict

L’Oreal Paris Le Nail Art Stickers make fabulous manicures accessible and affordable! While the designs are fabulous and the application fairly easy, these may not fit perfectly onto all nail shapes. They also need high maintenance to keep them on for upto 10 days as claimed by the brand. As for me, they are best used as nail makeup - to be used for a few hours for a special occasion and then removed.
