Today I’m reviewing NYX Black Label lipstick in a vivid berry pink shade – Midnight Dinner.
Price: $7.50 (approx. Rs 400)
What NYX says about the Product :
A creamy, dreamy lipstick with a velvety smooth finish and hyper-glamorous shades for every look and every inclination. NYX’s Black Label Lipstick has rich emollient properties that ensures the color glides on and hydrates your pout at the same time. From Extreme Red to Earthy to Italian Chic, Black Label Lipstick is available in 48 lip smacking hues.
My take on the Product
The lipstick comes in a nice sturdy grey packaging with a transparent bottom. The packaging is much more luxe and sturdier than the NYX Round lipsticks. The transparent end allows one to see the shade and hence locate it easily when stored upside down.
The lipstick has a lovely creamy texture. Its quite soft but not to the point of melting or crumbling. The buttery texture leaves a lovely creme gloss finish to the lips, diminishes lines giving a plumper, smoother look. It is richly packed with pigment so a single swipe will give full opaque color to the lips. It is quite hydrating and the lips feel soft and moisturized for a long time post application. Since its quite creamy, it may bleed a little and is very prone to transfer. I’d recommend blotting it a little on a tissue to avoid this problem. The pigment is staining but doesn’t settle into lines. This color wore for around 5 hours after which a soft stain stayed for another 3 hours. The best thing about how it wears is that the color doesn’t get patchy or uneven as it fades.
Overall, the formula is very comfortable and rich, feels lovely on the lips though may be prone to transfer/bleeding since its very creamy. The lipstick has a faint, fruit scent which I quite like.
Midnight Dinner is a gorgeous vibrant berry pink color with a hint of plum. The color has no shimmer or pearl, its a cream formula. Its one of those balanced brights – doesn’t look overly catchy yet has enough color to brighten up the face. It would make an excellent pink for duskier beauties. I love the shade and I’d recommend it to everyone!

(You can see tutorial for this look HERE)
NYX Black Label lipstick Midnight Dinner is a gorgeous vibrant berry pink lipstick that adds life and charm to the face. The formula is richly creamy, super pigmented, hydrating and wears well. I love the comfortable feel of the formula though it may be prone to transfer and bleeding since its a bit too creamy. Nevertheless, I really like the texture of this lipstick and will definitely be picking up a few more shades from this range.
