FOTD : Emerald Eyes, Neutral Lips with MAC

Ever since Pantone announced Emerald as the color of the year 2013, I’ve been meaning to do a look with emerald using my MAC Double feature eye shadow. This eye shadow duo is Limited Edition and has the most gorgeous emerald shade!

I’ve created a simple, wearable look with it using a wash of emerald on the lid, matte ochre in the crease, dewy healthy looking skin and a glossy neutral lip! Hope you like the look! Don’t forget to leave your comments below!

For this look, I smudged MAC Smolder eye kohl on the upper lash line, applied a wash of the emerald eye shadow and softened it in the crease using the matte ochre eye shadow from the same duo. Next, I lined my waterline with kohl, added a touch of Ricepaper eye shadow in the inner corner and finish the look with some mascara. Quite simple and easy to create!

This one of the rare timeS that I’ve done a proper routine for the lips – using lip liner, lipstick, blotting and reapplying and finally adding a touch of gloss. I have to say the result is much better than usual, can you see the difference?

    1. Thats because I’m wearing the lip liner and gloss with it, it alters the shade πŸ™‚ Otherwise its a bit more nude and less warm when worn on its own!

  1. OMG! Any chance of a review on the MAC lipliner and lipstick? The end result is gorgeous! Do you think this colour combo would work on darker skin tones? (Say – NC35 to NC40?)

    1. I will review both soon Zee! It would definitely work for NC40. I’m somewhere between NC37/40 myself though the flash may be making me look a little lighter.

  2. I really like emerald eye makeup.. was planning to get an emerald colour eyeshadow after seeing your last look.. But i’m a bit hesitant about how it’d look my my dusky skin..

  3. That’s creme in your coffee? Wow, it looks totally different! Effect of deelight maybe…? Loving it non etheless πŸ™‚ Great fotd!
I own two green eyeshadows, one a nice parsley green and the other with gold undertones. I use the latter one more.

  4. As usual u look awesome. anything and everything suits u πŸ™‚ Can u suggest a good shade from MAC. Im in NC 40-42. Have pigmented upper lip. Plsss help.

  5. Isn’t Creme in Your Coffee a great shade for warm skintones? It’s one of my favourite MAC lipsticks ever. I’ve used to over both Whirl and Spice lip pencils and prefer the shade I get with Spice as a base.
