MAC Glamour Daze Lipglass Impossibly Sweet : Review, Swatch, FOTD

Hey everyone!

MAC Lipglass is one of my favorite long wear gloss formulae and today I’m reviewing a lovely sparkly shade from this range – Impossibly Sweet. This shade is a Limited Edition shade – launched as part of the Glamour Daze Collection.

Price : Rs 950 for 5 ml

My take on the Product

MAC lipglass Impossibly Sweet comes in the regular gloss packaging with a clear tube, black handle and a doe foot applicator inside. The lipglass has the same slight thick consistency characteristic of MAC lipglasses. It feels slightly sticky but not uncomfortable on the lips. The formula is very moisturizing and because of the stickiness, it wears quite well – 4+ hours easily. I don’t mind the slight stickiness and since its quite hydrating, it feels quite comfortable on the lips. Thought after a few hours, this particular shade developed a bit of tackiness which wasn’t too pleasant.

The shade Impossibly Sweet is a sparkle gloss with a clear base and silver and pink shimmer suspended in the base. The shimmer is absolutely non-gritty and doesn’t travel about on the face. It may however stick around much after the base has worn off. For my pigmented lips, I can’t quite pull it off on its own so I use it over a lipstick. The size of the shimmer isn’t too large so it doesn’t look like chunky pieces of glitter on the lips – it just adds a nice shine to the lips and someone close up may be able to see the pretty pink shimmer particles.

A clear lip gloss is always useful and one with shimmer like this is great for topping over lipsticks for parties etc. The lipglass has the signature MAC Vanilla scent. The color is not difficult to dupe but if you like the Lipglass formula and are willing to splurge, this may be a nice addition to your collection!

The GOOD about MAC Glamour Daze Lipglass Impossibly Sweet :

  1. Very Hydrating
  2. Sticky but comfortable consistency
  3. Long wear
  4. Useful shade
  5. Non-gritty shimmer

The NOT-SO-GOOD about MAC Glamour Daze Lipglass Impossibly Sweet :

Overall Verdict

MAC lipglass Impossibly Sweet combines a versatile sparkly shade with the classic long wear lipglass formula. It is very hydrating and even though slightly sticky, not uncomfortable. The pretty silver and pink shimmer adds oomph to any lip color when layered over it. The color is not difficult to dupe but if you like the Lipglass formula and are willing to splurge, this may be a nice addition to your collection!

  1. My Aunt recently bought me a Lakme gloss which seems to come out quite similar. Probably it may pass off as a dupe for this one! On a personal note all my lip glosses so far have been gifted and I wouldnt want to splurge on a MAC gloss somehow; at least not as of now!!

    Great review 🙂

  2. Ur pics are missing in this post.. Love to see u applying these products… Well to avoid stickiness I use lipbalm underneath & very less color is used then & less sticky feel on lips…
