I love L’Oreal Paris lip products and couldn’t resist myself when I spotted the new Colour Riche glosses at the counter recently. I picked this gorgeous berry shade first and Really Rose later on.

My take on the Product
The L’Oreal Colour Rice glosses come in a squeeze tube packaging with a bit of gold at the ends. The transparent tube allows the color to peek through and I love the berry color of the gloss against the gold at the ends.
I love the formula of this gloss! It has a nice gel like cushion-y consistency, is fairly non-sticky and pigmented enough to provide about medium coverage to my lips. The formula is very light weight and comfortable to wear, it gives a good boost of moisture to the lips. The gloss adds a lovely shine to the lips and the shimmer is very small and absolutely non-gritty. The lips look plump and luscious after application and stay so for quite a while. Since its quite non-sticky, it doesn’t stay for longer than 3 hours on me, fades off faster with meals in between but I do not mind retouching. It has such a lovely caramel smell, I feel like I get a sugar rush every time I take a whiff of it or reapply it. The smell might not be liked by everyone but I personally love it, it reminds me caramel popcorn!

Overall, its a fairly uncomplicated gloss formula – light weight, non-sticky and moisturizing though not very long lasting. One gets a good 12 ml for the price so I’m pretty happy with the price as well. I think I might just pick up one of the nude shades in this as well. If you love glosses and plump, luscious lips, do give these a try!
Blushing Berry is the most pigmented shade from the 4 launched in India (at least on the counter I shopped from). Its a beautiful red leaning berry color containing fine pink shimmer. Since its fairly sheer, the color looks very soft and wearable on the lips. It gives some much needed life to my face when I’m bare faced while adding a luscious dose of shine and moisture. Its a very natural pink for Indian skin tones and I’d recommend this to everyone looking for a nice everyday gloss shade. It can be topped over berry, magenta, red lipsticks as well.

- Good pigmentation
- Sheer enough to be layered over lipsticks
- Non-sticky texture
- Great moisturization
- Gives a lovely shine to the lips
- Non-gritty shimmer – adds to the shine
- Good quantity for the price
- Lovely caramel scent (may be a con for some)
- Great everyday shade for tanned/olive skin
The NOT-SO-GOOD about L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Le Gloss Blushing Berry :
- The smell may not be liked by everyone
- Needs reapplication after 3 hours/meals
Overall Verdict
L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Le Gloss Blushing Berry is a gorgeous red tinged berry lip gloss that gives all the goodness of a moisturizing gloss. The formula is light-weight and non-sticky, gives a luscious look to the lips and packs enough pigment to add color to the face. The caramel scent is delicious and makes me want to apply and reapply this gloss! It doesn’t stay over 3 hours but if you don’t mind reapplying, you will love this product!
I wish they had launched more shades in India though!
