BB creams are still quite new to the Indian market with only Maybelline, The Body Shop and Deborah Milano BB creams currently and Garnier has made quite an entry with their new BB cream. To be honest, I’m not a fan of Garnier products and I didn’t expect much from this cream but after using it for about a week now, I’m quite surprised by the fact that I quite like it!

Garnier makes some tall claims with this product ~
My take on the Product
The product comes in a simple beige tube packaging. The plastic opaque packaging has a slight sheen to it, the screw on cap is transparent and the tube has a sleek look.
The cream itself is neither too runny in texture nor too thick. It doesn’t feel heavy on the skin but it doesn’t feel that light weight either. It has a comfortable emollient but non-greasy texture. It blends quite easily with just a few dabs with the fingers and doesn’t get patchy and doesn’t leave a very moist after-feel after blending. Its not too great as a moisturizer, my combination winter skin needs a moisturizer before I put this on and dry skinned women will definitely need one. I wear this more like a sunscreen after I have used my moisturizer. As far as coverage is concerned, it gives very sheer coverage – the sheer tint evens out the skin tone but doesn’t cover up age spots, blemishes, acne or under eye circles. But for everyday-wear when I’m just stepping out for a bit of shopping etc., I find the coverage good enough to give a presentable look to the face. It adds a very soft glow to the skin and surprisingly wears quite well. My face looks reasonably fresh after 5-6 hours of wear too (without touch-ups). Since its pretty sheer, the single color can work for a variety of skin tones though it might look ashy on duskier beauties and too dark for pale skin. I wish they had launched more shades in India.
As an everyday wear product with sheer coverage and natural finish, I think its quite good. But calling it a miracle skin perfector would be taking it a bit too far! It doesn’t make the skin fair or smooth in texture nor does it serve the purpose of concealer, foundation. It does not reduce lines and imperfections and it definitely does not give ‘instantly perfect skin‘.
Its best described as a Tinted Moisturizer with SPF and I’d recommend it to college going girls or women who like something with very less coverage on their face. Maybelline BB cream is the only other BB cream I’ve tried and I find the coverage of the Maybelline one much better than this one.
The GOOD about Garnier BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector :
- Convenient, sleek packaging
- Easy to blend cream texture
- Does not make the skin greasy
- Sinks fully into the skin
- Gives light coverage – evens out the skin
- Stays well on the skin
- Does not get patchy
- Gives a soft glow
- Contains UVA/UVB protection with SPF 24
- Great price!
The NOT-SO-GOOD about Garnier BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector :
- Not very moisturizing
- Doesn’t cover up spots/pigmentation/under eye circles
- UVA rating is not mentioned
- Comes only in 1 shade
Garnier BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector is fairly easy to use Tinted Moisturizer with SPF that can be great for women who need light coverage. The texture is workable though the hydration is not sufficient for combination/dry skin. It does even out the skin and gives a soft glow which looks quite natural. The ridiculously tall claims and lack of shades are obvious downsides but apart from this, I think its a lovely product for everyday use.
