    Happy New Year Ankita 🙂

Need your suggestion to pick a good moisturizer for me…I have oily skin that has turned dry in the winters, I have been using Aroma Magic Moisturizer but now I feel I need something extra to prevent dry patches…please help. Thanks

      Hi Poorva
      Happy New Year!!!!
I am liking this too,,, i feel it is more of a skin illuminator than a BB cream.

No Priti, just no post on it last week since I was a little busy on the personal front. The series is still on and I’m really happy to know it is helpful 🙂

    Hi Ankita,

I have oily skin, and uneven skin because of pimple I had earlier. (m pimple free now) I want to ask you the best daily care and makeup products for office purpose. According to Indian climate (because sometimes I have to stay out in summers for meeting purpose). I read your reviews but got confuse. I am going to marry soon so additionally I want to ask you the daily wear light makeup that stay. Should I purchase blotting papers too. I read about it.

    Thank you

Hi Anjali, make sure you use a high SPF sunscreen – preferably SPF 40 or 50 when heading out in summers. A lot of unevenness is also because of sun damage. I really like Lotus Herbals 3-in-1 matte spf 40 sunscreen for daily wear. Its mattifying too so doesn't make the skin oily or sweaty. To get rid of pimple scars (and any pigmentation in general) – use a brightening serum twice a day (Loreal Youth Code or Kaya pigmentation reducing complex is good), use a nourishing cream which also has some brightening/anti-ageing action to help brighten and hydrate the skin (Olay, Neutrogena are good) and maybe use some clay based packs few times a week to keep skin clear. For makeup, a bb cream or sheer foundation is good – Lakme BB cream, Maybelline BB stick are affordable options. Maybe you can try a powder foundation if your skin gets very oily – MAC Studio Fix is good and you can try Za powder foundation as well. If you have time in the morning, a little bit of primer under BB cream or foundation will help makeup stay fresh and oil free longer. Revlon Photoready primer is really good for oily skin. Lastly, use some compact powder to set your foundation or BB cream (if using liquid foundation) so that it doesn't get greasy. Maybelline dream matte powder, rimmel stay matte powder and Lakme absolute face stylist compact are good options.

As for blotting papers, I haven't tried many but the ones from The Body Shop Tea Tree range are good.
