Pantone has declared Emerald as the Color of the Year 2013 and today I’m doing a simple emerald smokey eye tutorial using Lakme Absolute eye shadow duo in Day Queen. Coral is my favorite color to pair with green and I’ve worn a dusty coral lip gloss and blush with this eye makeup.
Hope you like the look, don’t forget to leave your comments below!
Products used for the eye makeup :
- Ben Nye concealer wheel
- Bourjois Khol n Contour pencil – Black
- Lakme Absolute eye chromatic shadow duo : Day Queen
- Bourjois Volume Glamour Max Mascara
Step 1 : Start by lining the waterline and upper lash line with black kohl as shown.
Step 2 : Using a smudging brush (I used MAC 219), soften the edges of the kohl.
Step 3 : Apply the shimmery light green eye shadow from the duo in the inner corner+tear duct area. Sweep the same shade under the brows.
Step 4 : With a damp brush, apply the darker green shade from the duo all over the lid as shown.
Step 5 : Reapply kohl only on the outer 1/3rd of the upper lash line as shown. Apply the dark green eye shadow along the lower lash line as shown.
Step 6 : Blend the dark green in the socket line using wind wiper motion along the crease. Darken the outer 1/3rd of the lower lash line with kohl and smudge it to get the effect shown.
Step 7 : Finish off the look with a coat of dramatic volumizing mascara!
Clean up fall out from the under eye area, apply concealer and fill your brows.
Pair this look with a nude or dusty coral lip color and coordinating blush. I have used a dusty coral from Ben Nye cream blush wheel and Biotique lip gloss in shade Cranberry.

What lipstick would you pair with this look? [/note]
