From weekly favorites to monthly favorites, I’m now down to just Current favorites for this week. I had hoped to do a November Favorites post but I didn’t particularly love a lot of products in November and the ones I liked were the same ones I’d been using in October. But recently I’ve been trying some new and amazing makeup and skin care and here are my Top 10 ~
1. Ben Nye Cream Blush Wheel (Rs 1050)
This is such an amazing blush palette! The blush has gorgeous shades especially for someone with my coloring. I absolutely LOVE the coral and warm pink shade in this, yet to try out the orange and red. I’m holding off the full review till I can do FOTDs with all the 6 shades(reviews with no FOTDs make no sense to me)!
2. NYX Round lipstick Heredes ($4.00)
I got this one after reading its a dupe for MAC Mocha. Nudes don’t always work very well for me but this one is a stunning shade! Its a very understated coral – not too bright, not too dusty and has a sort of pale creamy look without actually being pale. I love this shade! I’ve worn it HERE.
3. Shiseido Perfect Refining Foundation (sample)
I have been on a lookout for a dewy foundation for the winters (for pictures more specifically) and the SA gave me this sample with another purchase. Its a beautiful foundation – gives the look of absolutely gorgeous skin with its slight dewiness and excellent coverage. I’m so picking up the full bottle on my next trip to the Shiseido counter! I’ve worn it HERE.
4. Colorbar Nail Lacquer Flirt (Rs 350)
Not the best formula to be honest (poor wear time) but I really like the shade. Nude nail paints always look classy and chic and this one is great with its peachy tone without being too brown.
5. NYX powder blush Mocha ($6.00)
Mocha is a gorgeous shade and if like me you are more of pink/peach/coral blush girl, you would love this! On paler skins, it might have a reddish tone but on me, it looks like soft coral and gives a very nice warm color to my cheeks. Looks lovely with coral lipsticks like NYX Heredes! I’ve worn it HERE.
6. Ben Nye Luxury Powder : Cameo (Rs 600)
An inexpensive (relatively) silky powder that gives the perfect finishing touch to the face without the dry, powdery look, Ben Nye luxury powder is quite popular with professional artists. I have reviewed it in full detail HERE.
7. Oriflame Anti-dandruff Scalp Treatment (Rs 429)
I picked it up ages ago and discovered it recently while cleaning my skin care product drawers. I have recently been having dandruff trouble and this is actually effective against dry, itchy scalps. Not a long term solution but does help if you have temporary dandruff issues.
8. Nivea Fruity Shine lip balm : Cherry (Rs 129)
While Pomegranate remains my all time favorite, I’ve been enjoying the Cherry variant recently. Gives a softer pink color than Pomegranate but pretty nonetheless!
9. Forest Essentials Delicate facial cleanser Kashmiri Saffron and Neem (Rs 875)
I absolutely LOVE how this smells. It is the most luxurious and delicate of scents – exactly how I’d imagined Kashmiri Saffron to smell like. Its quite mild on the skin but does a decent job of cleansing, leaves the skin soft and fragrant. I think I might actually repurchase it just for its incredible scent!
10. The Body Shop Atlas Mountain Rose EDT (Rs 1395)
The Moroccan Rose range has been replaced by the Atlas Mountain range. I loved the Moroccan Rose scent and this one is pretty much the same – a light blend of rose with a slightly tangy note of lemon oil. Its is very fresh, feminine scent and doesn’t have the cloying sweetness of a floral scent. I LOVE it! Its one scent I can wear for the rest of the my life!
I’m loving natural, dewy looks are the moment, some of my favorite looks from the ones I’ve worn recently ~
