Today I’m reviewing Forest Essentials Kokum Butter & Honey lip balm which is part of the Ladies Essential Kit that I’m trying out currently (shown HERE). If you’re someone with painfully dry lips, you definitely want to read on..!
Can be purchased individually for Rs 495.
My take on the Product
Forest Essentials doesn’t say much about this product except for the ‘Luscious lip balm‘ bit. The actually product comes in a different flip open type packaging while the one I have got with the kit is a simple tub with an added plastic insert inside.
The lip balm has a very light, thin texture and a lovely coconut fragrance. I’m not a huge coconut fan but I do like this scent. Its not too overpowering and it actually feels quite comforting. It is a clear lip balm and it applies with a nice glossy finish on the lips without any white cast. It instantly hydrates and softens the lips and the effect lasts for a few hours though not overnight. I do not suffer from very dry or chapped lips but this one keeps my lips soft, plumped and hydrated!
My favorite lip balm is Kiehls #1 Lip balm because it is super hydrating and this one is *almost* as good if not better! But for the same price of Rs 495, one gets 15 ml of product from Kiehl’s while with this one, I do not know since the website is not updated and my tub is from the Ladies Essential Kit (contains 5 g). .
While it is expensive for a lip balm, it delivers so you get a good product for the price you pay. If you’re a lip balm fanatic or have dry lips, do try this out!
You can purchase it HERE from the Forest Essential website.
Rating : 4.5/5 (-0.5 for the missing info on the website)
