What Colorbar says about the Product ~
This mood to suit seductive palette creates mesmerizing eyes with out perfectly coordinated hues, allowing you to become your own make up artist. The light smooth texture of these eye shadows contain 3 beautiful shades for layering, highlighting and contouring. Available in a variety of finishes from metallic satin to slight shimmer for creating endless looks and to suit your mood. The palette comes with an applicator.
My take on the Product
The palette comes in round silver packaging with a transparent lid which is sturdy, convenient and more attractive than the black packaging of most counterparts. The 2 darker eye shadows are placed side to side while the highlighter shade is placed at the bottom. It comes with an applicator which can come in handy for touch ups.
All the 3 eye shadows have excellent color pay off! The textures are smooth and soft, and even though they are decidedly powders, there is a smooth creaminess in the texture. They blend very well without sheering out and there is no fall out during application or in the pan. I absolutely love palettes that have consistent quality across all the shades present and this one scores full points when it comes to that! There is no graininess or uneven-ness in the texture, they applies silky smooth and flawless and even on blending, they retain a very uniform look.
I tested these without primer on my oily lids and I got 6 hours of solid wear time. By hour 7 though, there was noticeable though not considerable fading in the inner crease area. Overall, excellent quality though an hour or two more of wear time would have made this a perfect 5/5 product!
The shades ~
Shade #1 looks a soft camel taupe in the pan but its more of a soft champagne gold on the skin. I think it is a very flattering highlighter for Indian skin. Its not overly gold, not too shimmery and just brightens up the eyes beautifully! I love warm highlighters and this is definitely one of my favorites from everything I’ve tried so far! Its not too light so on light-medium skin tones, it can be used as an all over lid color as well.
Shade #2 is a soft copper shade which is excellent as an all over lid shade.
Shade #3 is dark chocolate brown which works great for the outer corner/crease or all over lid for a soft brown smokey eye. However, when used in conjunction with #2 on the lid, the colors don’t look starkly different from each other.
All the 3 shades have a lovely soft pearl finish, they don’t have detectable shimmer, they just give a shine to the eyes that is very understated and wearable! I think the colors are well coordinated though I feel the darkest shade could have been a little darker to provide more contrast and the possibility of creating a smokey eye.
I used this palette for my latest look, see breakdown and tutorial of this look HERE ~
The GOOD about Colorbar Enchanting Trio eye shadow Palette :
- Sturdy, attractive packaging
- Soft, smooth textures
- Excellent color pay off
- Blends well without uneven-ness
- Good wear time (6+hours, no primer, oily lids)
- Flattering shades for all skin tones
- Quality consistent across all shades in the palette
- Soft pearl finish – suitable for day/night wear
- Would have liked another hour or so of wear time
- The darkest shade could have been darker for more contrast
Overall Verdict
Its a nice versatile neutral palette with a champagne gold, a copper and a dark brown shade. The formula is excellent – smooth texture, excellent color payoff and 6+ hours of solid wear time. All 3 shades have a lovely soft pearl finish and the colors coordinate well together. Its a great basic palette, the shades would work for all skin tones though I would have preferred the darkest shade to be a little darker for some contrast. Nevertheless, I think this is a wonderful palette and quite handy for quick, effortless looks. I’d highly recommend this to everyone!

Wow… Marvellous, Amazing.. Such lovely eye makeup Ankita, hats off to you !!
Sorry this is off-topic but I thought I should quickly post this before I forget: I wonder if you’ve tried Wild Orchid by Revlon and if you’d reccommend the shade for dusky skin? It’s a gorgeous colour but I’m a bit worried about looking vampy. What are your thoughts on the Revlon Super Lustrous formula in general?
Love the Super Lustrous formula Zee! Haven’t tried Wild Orchid but will check it out next time I head to the Revlon counter. I have recently reviewed Cherries in the Snow from this range, you can check that out –

i m in love with all of the 3 shades…
gonna pick this for sure..
wud hv loved it all the more had it been matte…
any matte trio in this collection?
Don’t you think the 2nd shade looks like colorbar’s single eyeshadow ” copper crush ” and the 3rd eyeshadow looks like “spicy brown” ??
What a gorgeous trio…I love Colorbar single eyeshadows..next time I guess I should pay more attention to these trios as well…
All the shades are nice. Thanks for sharing it with its good features and your rating. You are looking pretty in the picture and your applied eye shadow is perfect for you.
I have a similar palette in blue. And felt the same as you that the pigment is good, less fallout and long wear. Have reviewed it on my blog
