My take on the Product

MAC blush Pinch Me is a sheertone blush and is part of the permanent range. It comes in the regular black MAC Packaging with a transparent cover with no mirror/applicator.

Pinch Me has a sheer, matte finish formula. It needs a little bit of layering to show up well on the skin since the formula is quite sheer which makes it easy to use for beginners. The blush surface feels smooth to touch with no powderiness or fall out in the pan. It feels easy to blend and since it needs layering, blending is not an issue. It wears well on me for 6-7 hours over foundation and doesn’t get patchy/uneven as it fades. Formula-wise, it is excellent but as a matter of preference, I like more pigmented blushes. If you’re someone who doesn’t normally wear blush and is afraid of going overboard with color on the cheeks, a sheer blush like this would be perfect.

Pinch Me is described as a ‘dirty rose coral‘ by MAC and its a pretty accurate description. On my skin, it leans more coral than rose but there is a definite hint of pink there. Because of its rosy tone, it doesn’t look muddy on my skin tone. The underlying earthy tinge makes this a great blush for dusky beauties. I think this is one of the most underrated blushes from MAC especially when it comes to blushes for Indian skin. I like the fact that the formula is matte so one doesn’t need to worry about shimmer enhancing pores and imperfections. Since it looks quite warm on me, I like pairing it with warmer lipsticks, especially warm leaning reds. I’d definitely recommend this shade to everyone looking for a nice warm toned blush!

The GOOD about MAC Blush Pinch Me :

  1. Smooth texture
  2. No fall out, powdery-ness in the pan
  3. Color can be built up in layers
  4. Easy to blend
  5. Beginner-friendly
  6. Wears well for 6+ hours
  7. Balanced shade – doesn’t look too warm/muddy on the skin

The NOT-SO-GOOD about MAC Blush Pinch Me :

  1. I prefer more pigmented blushes (just a personal preference!)

Overall Verdict

MAC Pinch me is one of those pretty dusty shades that give a very balanced color to the cheeks – they are neither too warm nor too cool. On my medium skin, Pinch me is a rose tinged dusty coral that pairs beautifully with warm pink, red and coral lipsticks. The formula is sheer with a matte finish which makes is versatile and easy to use by beginners. I think this blush would be exceptionally beautiful on dusky skin!

Rating : 4.75/5

I saw your FOTD pic and thought to myself… “Hmmmmm… Red lips, warm coral/peachy cheeks… Quite similar to several past FOTD’s… So why does this one look so heart-stoppingly stunning in comparison?”

Then I realised…

A lot of the charm of this look comes from your brown eyes today… If they’re your natural eyes, wear them more often! They form such a beautiful contrast against your skin tone, and against the warm rich lip colours like reds and fuschias…. Soooo stunning!

Also really loving your outfit in today’s post. Gorgeous!

Thanks Zee :) I realized this too which is why I’ve been wearing these contacts more often lately! I think the colors of the outfit also add to the ‘richness’ of the whole look!

It’s very pretty on you! Have you tried ELF Candid Coral? It’s very wearable and I think you’d like it.

ELF isn’t available in India sadly and I don’t know of any website that ships internationally! But I’ve put it in my list, if I ever come across any website that sells this, I’ll surely pick it up!

You should definitely try MAC Melba, its gives a soft peachy pink flush of color. If you want cream blush, try MAC Posey. I haven’t tried Posey myself but Melba is awesome!
