Today I’m reviewing a gorgeous pink shade from Faces Moisture Rich lipstick range ~ Ultra Pink.

What Faces says about the product :

Creamy lipstick in rich pigmented color.

My take on the Product

Faces moisture rich lipsticks come in black plastic packaging with colored ends and a slightly heavy feel to the packaging. I really like the packaging – it feels very sturdy, the swivel mechanism is perfect and the colored ends make it very easy to locate shades.

The lipstick is very soft and buttery smooth in texture, it glides on the lips without any tugging right from the first swipe. It is richly pigmented, single pass gives opaque coverage to the lips. The formula is quite comfortable and decently moisturizing on the lips. It is not the most moisturizing lipstick I’ve tried but it has a nice glossy sheen and a balmy base that fills out the lip lines, giving a smoother appearance to the lips. One great thing about the formula is that despite being buttery rich in texture, it doesn’t move around or get patchy on the lips.

For those who love well pigmented, opaque lipsticks, this would be a great lipstick especially for the winters since it is hydrating. Because it is very buttery in texture, there might be slight bleeding around the corners of the lips during meals etc. Adding some powder/concealer around the lips or using a lip liner would solve that issue. This particular shade stayed for about 5 hours leaving a strong color stain behind which stayed for another 2 hours. It is not so staining that the pigment seeps into the lip lines which I like. The lipstick has a faint vanilla scent which is not overwhelming or very artificial. Overall, I really like this lipstick and I find it one of the best ones at this price point. Highly recommended!

Ultra pink is a gorgeous warm fuchsia with a soft pearly sheen. The shade is looks more striking in person than how it appears here. I generally don’t like pearl finishes but since this one glossy at the same time, the pearl actually looks quite nice. This is an excellent bright pink for dusky skin as well. There’s a strong red tinge to this color especially as it fades.

I’d recommend this shade to everyone to loves pinks and fuchsias!

The GOOD about Faces Moisture Rich lipstick Ultra Pink :

8. Doesn’t settle into the fine lines of the lips

The NOT-SO-GOOD about Faces Moisture Rich lipstick Ultra Pink : 

1. It may bleed a little around the corners since its so buttery in texture
2. May melt during summers

Overall Verdict

Faces Moisture Rich lipstick Ultra Pink  is gorgeous warm fuchsia that would look fabulous on the Indian skin. The formula of this lipstick is luxuriously rich – buttery texture, great pigmentation and hydrating glossy finish. The pigment is staining but doesn’t settle into the lips lines but there might be little bit of bleeding since the texture is so smooth. Overall, one of the best lipsticks I’ve tried in this price range, its a shame I hadn’t tried these before! Highly recommended!
