Breakdown of the look ~

EYES : The eye makeup is very simple here – I just used Chambor Jewels metallic eye crayon all over the lid and Maybelline Colossal Volume kajal on upper lash line and waterline. Finished the look with Maybelline Colossal Volume Mascara and filled my brows with Sleek makeup brow kit in Extra Dark. You can use any bronze/copper/gold eye shadow.

FACE : For the face ~ I used L’Oreal Paris True Match liquid foundation (it looks terrible in person but photographs quite well) all over the face and neck, set it with Lakme Absolute compact and used MAC Blush Pinch Me on the apples of the cheeks. I used Bourjois Delice de Poudre bronzing powder to contour my jawline and cheekbones. As a finishing touch, I added Oriflame Giordani Gold loose powder on the cheekbones as highlight.

LIPS : For the lips, I used a vibrant warm red lipstick ~ Revlon Matte lipstick Really Red. If the red feels too loud for a family gathering, just blot the lip color with a tissue and wear it as a stain!

  1. Ankita you look so pretty. I love red lip color. I am in the dark lipstick phase lately. Loved your rimmel one too. do you know of any similar lip colors?

    1. Can’t think of any right now that are identical Harman. You could try Sleek pout paint in Port though. MAC Rebel would be similar too,

  2. Hey Ankita..I know you must have been asked this question many times but I am on the hunt for a good foundation..I don’t use it often but now that I am getting married I am sure I will be needing for the several dinners, etc. I have combination skin which is sensitive, acne-prone skin and not very blemished. I don’t want something too expensive..something upto 1000 bucks or slightly more..Any suggestions?

    1. The sensitive part there is tricky! I could suggest you some but I’m not sure if they’ll suit you. You could try Lakme Absolute white Intense cover foundation, will fit the budget well and its quite nice. I think Bourjois Healthy Mix is supposed to be good too but I have not tried it personally.

  3. I do this eye look very often. The chambor crayon is awesome!! It’s simple and quick. Your over all look is good but I guess this foundation is making you look white in the pictures. It does not look as natural as your other snaps. Just my personal opinion. Your face is looking super toned and chiseled:) thumps up:)

    1. Thanks Dolly! The chambor crayon is super convenient! Ya the foundation is a little difficult to work with, gets heavy and cakey easily which is why its making me look white here!

  4. Wow your face looks so chiseled! Also, your hair is looking great! Is this down to a new cut or is the miracles of the Keratinology range? Or have you just styled it differently? I too have dry hair and am still searching as to how to improve its appearance πŸ˜‰

    1. I think its the Keratinology range + Blow dry. I’ve been trying to recreate the salon blow drys they give at home with just my dryer, a paddle brush and Sunsilk Hair Protector spray. Since my hair was colored dark brown last month, its adding to the dark shine and the keratinology shampoo/conditioner does a good job of preserving the color!

    1. Yes Pinch Me is matte, it is described as Sheertone and its not as intensely pigmented as the matte and satin blushes from MAC. You need to layer it a bit, but the finish is matte.

  5. u r so perfect in doing makeup… since my childhood I was interesting in doing makeup,, but later due to studies I forgot this & following your blog has again reminded me to learn it.. thanks alot
