What Deborah Milano says about the Product :
Lipstick with a luminous, silky finish. Innovative formula produces pure, vibrant colour. Glides on easily and feels comfortable all day long.
My take on the product
Deborah Milano lipsticks come in an attractive steel grey metallic finish packaging in an asymmetrical tube. The packaging is sturdy and has a colored label at the base which makes it easy to locate shades. I like the metallic finish as well. It doesn’t hold dust/finger prints much like metallic packaging can do sometimes, so thats a plus point.
The lipstick is smooth and creamy, applies without tugging and is well pigmented. The issue here is that it is too creamy and there is too much slip in the formula. It ends up looking a little patchy and uneven on the lips as the slippery formula moves around too much during application. I generally need to blot it down to an even finish with my finger tip. The formula is creamy and mildly moisturizing. It feels like its just sitting on my lips and doesn’t feel as light weight as I would have liked. I found the Matte lipsticks from Deborah much better than this one. The staying power is good, it stayed over 4 hours and stained my lips so the face didn’t look devoid of color for another 2 hours. But as it wore off (with meals in between), it got patchy again and I had to blot and even out the color with my finger tip. The formula is not bad but its not effortless.
Unless you absolutely love the shade, I wouldn’t recommend this.
Shade no. 03 is a vibrant orangish–coral shade with a creamy finish. The shade looks like a coral-red in the tube but on my lips, I don’t see that hint of red at all, its a pure vivid coral. It looks quite bright in person but not neon bright. The shade is lovely for summers and paired with coordinating blush, brightens up the face beautifully. I’m not a fan of the formula but the shade is gorgeous and even though it takes a bit of effort, I will definitely be wearing this shade in the warmer season.
The GOOD about Deborah Milano Atomic Red Lipstick :
- Attractive packaging, colored label at the base is very convenient
- Soft, smooth texture
- Glides without tugging
- Good pigmentation
- Mildly moisturizing
- Creamy, glossy finish
- Good staying power
- Formula tends to get patchy and uneven
- Not very moisturizing
Deborah Milano Atomic Red Lipstick is 03 is a vibrant coral with a creamy finish that brightens up the face beautifully. The formula is very creamy and nicely pigmented but has a tendency to get patchy and uneven. It wears well for over 4 hours including meals but needs to be patted down into an even finish during that time. It doesn’t feel as moisturizing as one would expect from such a creamy formula. The formula definitely needs improvement but the shade is pretty, if you love brights or corals, you could check this out.
