Hey everyone!

Continuing with the Sleek makeup reviews of the products I picked up recently, today I’m reviewing a stunning candy pink blush ~ Flamingo.

Price :  $5.99 (approx. Rs 320) for 8 g

What Sleek says about the Product :

Highly pigmented blushers to brighten and define cheekbones, available in 10 shades. These silky-fine and long lasting blushers create a subtle and radiant glow and suit all skin tones.

My take on the Product

Sleek blushes comes in a compact black plastic packaging with a mirror on the underside of the lid. Considering that they contain a good 8 g of product, the packaging is quite small and sleek! It feels quite sturdy as well. If you’re travelling, these would be quite handy to carry as they take up so much lesser space than say Illamasqua or Clarins blushes (very bulky packaging!). The only downside of the packaging is that the cover is not transparent and there is no colored label as well anywhere on the packaging. Since I have 2 blushes (Flamingo and Coral), I have to read the label every time I want to use one of them.

The blush has a very soft texture, almost to the point of being powdery. Make sure to use a soft brush and to swipe it gently across the surface not only to prevent fall out in the pan but also because it is very pigmented! If you’re pale/light skinned, you need to more careful with the quantity but if you’re medium/deep skinned, you don’t have to worry about it – it won’t show up as stark on your skin. On my medium skin, I find the pigmentation comfortable to work with. I lightly graze the surface of the blush with a fluffy brush and it gives sufficient color to my cheeks. It blends very easily and doesn’t get patchy/uneven on blending/fading. I get about 6 hours wear time when worn with a light hand and a good 8+ hours when used with a heavy hand. Overall, I really like the quality of the blush – the soft texture, great pigmentation and the soft satin finish on the cheeks!

Flamingo is a deep candy pink shade that’ll work across skin tones. The shade is more cool than warm but not so cool that it would look ashy against warm toned skin. Used with a light hand, it adapts to a warm pink against my skin giving a very natural flush. Used with a heavy hand, it gives pretty doll cheeks! It has a satin finish so it doesn’t look flat matte on the cheeks.

It is one of the most versatile and stunning pink blushes I’ve come across! It might look a little scary in the pan but it is just beautiful on the cheeks! If you are dusky and haven’t found the right pink for yourself, do give this a try!

Highly recommended!

The GOOD about Sleek Makeup Powder blush Flamingo :

  1. Sleek, compact, sturdy packaging
  2. Soft texture
  3. Great pigmentation
  4. Good staying power
  5. Blends easily
  6. Doesn’t get patchy/uneven on blending
  7. Universally flattering pink shade
  8. Contains 8 g of product
  9. Great quality for the price!

The NOT-SO-GOOD about Sleek Makeup Powder blush Flamingo :

  1. Need to be careful with the soft texture/intense pigmentation

Overall Verdict

Flamingo is a beautiful deep candy pink blush that makes a flattering pink blush for all skin tones. Sleek blushes pack a sizeable amount of product and great quality – soft texture, great pigmentation and good staying power, all for a mere $6. I picked up 2 shades but I’m already planning on picking up more!

If you love pink blushes or if you’ve been looking for the right pink, do give Flamingo a try! Be careful with the application though, these are VERY pigmented!

Rating : 4.75/5

Buy Online HERE.

Shipping to India : I paid only $3 for the shipping (see my haul HERE) though I had to pay Rs 830 as import duty when I received my package. I have requested Sleek to reimburse that amount as many other websites do but I am still awaiting their response regarding this. It’ll be great if they do reimburse this amount, I can then place more orders with them without worrying about the custom charges!

I really like this! Even if it is a cool toned pink, I can still see it working on a range of skin tones. You just need to blend it well.
