Skincare Wednesday : Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Pack Review

Hey everyone!

Today I’m reviewing one of my favorite face packs, one which I’ve been repurchasing for a while now ~ Himalaya Herbals Neem Face Pack.

Price : Rs 65 for 50 g

What Himalaya Herbals says about the Product :

Clears skin and prevents outbreak and recurrence of pimples. Rejuvenates and firms up the skin. Imparts natural glow. Antibacterial purifying Neem Face Pack regulates excess oil secretion, cleans clogged pores and prevents recurrence of pimples. Improves skin texture. Neem, well known for its antibacterial properties, helps in controlling acne and pimples, and their recurrence. When combined with Turmeric, it effectively eliminates acne-causing bacteria. Fuller’s Earth (Multani Mitti) cools and soothes the skin.

Oily and Pimple-prone skin.

Ingredients Include:

  • Azadirachta indica (Neem, Nimba)
  • Panka (Fuller’s earth, Multani Mitti)
  • Curcuma longa (Turmeric, Haridra)

Use Directions:

Apply evenly over cleansed face and neck, avoiding the area around eyes. Allow it to dry for 10-15 minutes. Remove with wet sponge and wash the skin with cool water. Use once or twice a week.

My take on the Product

It comes in a white tube packaging with a green flip top cap. The packaging is easy to use and travel friendly though the cap accumulates dried product over time which is a common problem with this packaging.

The gloopy dirty green color of the face pack is hardly attractive and it smells like neem (bitter but not repulsive) but  it does its job well! It has a runny cream base and a grainy texture as if it contains small exfoliating particles. When I first started using it, my skin used to tingle a bit but that is normal (as it says on the pack). With regular usage, my skin doesn’t tingle any more on application.  When applied in a thin layer, it dries in under 10 minutes but a thick layer takes upto 20 minutes to dry completely. Washing it off is like exfoliating as the grainy bits offer some scrubbing action as you wash it. On washing it off completely, one is greeted with absolutely clean skin. The exfoliation is an added bonus. The best part though about this face pack is that it actually works on pimples. Used regularly, it keeps pimples in check, controls oiliness and reduces the size of existing pimples.

It is a MUST-HAVE for oily/acne prone skin. I love the affordable price too and I always keep 1 tube of this handy in my cabinet. Highly recommended!

Rating : 4.5/5 (-0.5 for the product accumulation on the cap)
