What Ponds says about the Product :
My take on the Product
Ponds White Beauty Daily Spot Less Whitening Day cream comes in a beautiful pink tub packaging which is pleasing on the eyes but a little bulky. The heavy glass tub, the asymmetrical shape and the size of the cream makes it a little inconvenient to use, especially to carry around during traveling. The packaging contains another plastic lid inside to prevent the cream smearing on the inside of the outer lid which again makes the whole thing cumbersome to use. It is so much easier to just use a pump dispenser! Nevertheless, it does look pretty sitting on the dresser.
The cream is a very pale pink in color and has a slightly foamy texture which reminds me of the vanishing cream my grandmother used to use. The texture is slightly dry and doesn’t have a lot of slip so one needs to work quickly in blending this on the face. If you’re someone who applies cream by putting dots all over the face, you’ll find that its a little difficult to blend. I just apply the cream in 2 swipes across the cheeks and one across the nose and forehead and blend it quickly. Slightly damp skin after toning is the best to aid blending. I’m talking so much about blending here because I recommended this cream to my cousin sister who later told me that she finds it a little difficult to blend as she first applies it in dots all over the face.
The best thing for me about this cream was the matte finish after blending and the brightening effect. The cream leaves a slight white cast on the skin which is not too obvious but does give a glow. The matte finish makes it perfect for oily skin. The overall look is very neat and clean and on good skin days, I can just wear this with some compact, concealer and gloss when going out. Even though its not tinted, I feel like it evens out my skin and minimizes the pores and imperfections slightly. The matte finish keeps the skin oil-free for some time but I begin to see some shine on my T-zone after about 2-2.5 hours if I do not set with powder. It also contains SPF 20a s well as PA++ so one can easily skip sunscreen while wearing this (if not exposed much to sun). Overall, I think this is a good day cream for oily skin not just because of the matte finish but the brightening effect too. Those who don’t like wearing foundation everyday but feel the need for that little something to perk the skin up should give this a try!
The cream has a very classic Ponds fragrance which I don’t particularly like nor dislike. As for the whitening claim, I used it for over 3 weeks and I did not feel any difference in my skin tone, it just feels brighter when I have applied the cream but there is no long term change.

The NOT-SO-GOOD about Ponds White Beauty Daily Spot less Whitening Day Cream :
- Needs to be blended quickly
- No long term changes in skin tone
- Not suitable for dry skin
Ponds White Beauty Daily Spot less Whitening Day Cream is a matte finish moisturizer that evens out the skin giving a neat, clean look to the face. The packaging is slightly bulky and one needs to blend the product quickly for an even finish but the overall brightening effect after application is quite good. I did not experience any long term spot/blemish lightening but its something I reach out for when I do not want to wear foundation. The SPF and PA++ is an added bonus. Recommended for oily skin.
