Hey everyone!

This post comes a bit late as I took a small breather after the Lakme Fashion Week. Day 5 saw a lot of variety on the ramp with gorgeous Indian wear by Neeta Lulla to Androgynous clothing, sequined cocktail gowns and of course, the Grand Finale (to be covered in a separate post). There was a lot of variety it the makeup and hair as well with buns, braids, pink/tangerine lips emerging as strong trends.

Lets have a look at the hair and makeup for each show :

 

 

 

Show 1 : Amrita Thakur/Nishka Lulla/Prashant Chauhan/Surya Sarkar

Hair : A simple high bun

 

 

Makeup : Very subtle wash of taupe all over lid, false lashes (natural) and a creamy orange lip. I love how the lip color went with the lighter as well as the duskier skin tones.

 

 

 

 

Show 2 : Atithi Gupta/Nupur Kanoi/Bodice by Ruchika Sachdeva

Hair : Fishtail braid

 

 

Makeup : The Black swan inspired liner made another appearance, this time in a much softer form. The rest of the makeup was very soft and natural with nude glossy lips.

 

 

 

 

 

Show 3 : Vishal Prints presents Archana Kochhar

Hair : Loads of braids, wound up pinned as shown -

 

 

Makeup : A lovely navy blue smokey eye with soft pink lips. I really liked this look! It’s very wearable off the ramp.

 

 

 

 

Show 4 : Rajat K Tangri/Sailex

Hair : Glossy Glamorous waves that went very well with the pin up makeup! Loved it!

 

 

Makeup : Classic pin up look – Winged liner, false lashes and a gorgeous red lipstick!

 

 

 

 

Show 5 : Forever Jewelry presents Neeta Lulla

Hair : Long braid with  flowers and a paranda at the end. Perfect for the festive Indianwear.

 

 

Makeup : Soft wash of white gold on the eyes, black liner with a small flick at the outer corner, lots of kohl smudged with black eye shadow on the lower lash line. The lips were a popping bright pink. The whole look went so well with the outfits.

 

 

 

 

The Neeta Lulla show was just breathtaking! It opened with a small dance sequence by Hema Malini. I loved what she was wearing. The stage was decorated with a lot of diyas and the models wore gorgeous jewelry (it was sponsored by Forever Jewelry) along with the super beautiful Saris and Lehengas.

This  was my favorite show out of everything I attended. The outfits were just so beautiful and tasteful! If I ever want to indulge in some Indian designer wear, it will definitely be Neeta Lulla! Check out the gorgeous blouse of the Cream and Gold outfit in the above pic, the work on the neck gives the illusion of a necklace.
