Hey everyone!
It was another exciting day at Lakme Fashion Week today! There was a lot of variety in the shows today from ornate evening/bridal wear saris to fierce jewelry/chic handbags and flowy cruise-wear and swim wear. Once again, the makeup and hair was done fabulously to go with the themes of the shows by artists Clint Fernandes and Kapil Bhalla.

Makeup : Intense black eye shadow on the lid, clean waterline/lower lash line, intense Fuchsia lip. Modern, glamorous and feminine, loved it! The lip color was changed to a nude for the second part of the show.

Show 2 : Veev presents Second Skin

Hair : Sleek Ponytail (with ironed hair), a loop added to the side in the front

Makeup : Loved the Colorblocked look created here. The lids were painted in a square shape with orange/green and the lips were a pretty bright magenta. Since the clothes were an understated grey, the makeup really stood out in this one!

Hair : Lots of texture in this scrunched bun. Very red carpet and glam, perfect for the modern bride as well!

Makeup : Smokey black eyes balanced out by adding bronze dust on the inner half, glossy burgundy lip. The entire look along with the ornate evening wear saris was very glamorous!

Hair : Braided bun that went well with the gothic outfits as well as the royal indian wear in the second half

Makeup : Thick winged liner on upper lash line, waterline and lower lash line framing the eye. Deep matte coffee lip. There was a mask on the nose and mouth for the first part of the show.

Show 5 : DHL Presents Shivan &Narresh/Swapnil Shinde

Hair : Poker straight hair ironed with a mid parting. Looked stunning with the modern and exotic designer outfits!
Makeup : Erased brows, nude lips and the star of the look – a Black Swan inspired fierce liner. Loved it!!

Makeup : Very understated nude makeup with just base, blush and a natural pink lip. The eyes were covered with a mask.

Its almost the end of the Fashion Week and this was my first time covering it extensively. Its been such an awesome experience, I got to learn a lot and had a peek at how focused and hard working people in the industry are! From the makeup artists to the hair stylists, from models to the show directors, from the designers to the the costume helpers and the PR teams – its a very hectic and tiring schedule and kudos to them for putting together such great shows one after the other! Since I’m at Hyatt for almost 10 hours everyday, I just have the energy and time to do 1 post every night when I get back home but once the fashion week is over, there will be more fun posts (my outfits etc.). Right now my priority was to show you the hair and makeup being created for the shows! I hope you’re enjoying the posts! Tomorrow is the Grand Finale (showstopper Kareena Kapoor), I can’t wait!

So cool! I agree, the makeup for the day shows was much more interesting than the last show (that I came for), btw I missed meeting you as I reached only at 9:30 (traffic :-p)..
hi ,can u plz tell which lipshades hav been used in show3 n 4…I have complexion like deepika padukone n like richer colors .Can u please suggest some lipstick shades for me from lakme n loreal range
