Hey everyone!

Hope you’re having a good weekend! I had another amazing day at Lakme Fashion Week Winter-Festive 2012 and as the Official Beauty Blogger, I got backstage access to amazing makeup and hair being done in the green rooms! Just like yesterday, there were 6 shows. The makeup and hair was done by makeup artists Clint Fernandes and Kapil Bhalla (on alternate shows).

Today I covered the backstage for 5 shows and got to experience some beautiful makeup being created by the lead makeup artists. Here  is the hair and makeup breakdown of each show (in order) :

 

1) Aartivijay Gupta/Nikhil Thampi/Sidhartha Aryan/Surendri by Yogesh Chaudhary

This was the first show of the day and had 4 different designers showing their work. The eye/face makeup was same for all the 4 but the lip color was changed for each designer.

Hair : Hair was a fancy affair with this show! It started with this (for the first and second part)-

 

 

and a head band with bangs was added for the third part of the show.

 

 

Makeup Breakdown : The skin was slight dewy with highlighted cheek bones. The cheek color was a subtle peachy brown. The eyes were kept simple with only thick winged liner on upper lash line and false lashes. The lip color was a glossy sweet pink for the first designer followed by a creamy nude, a sheer burgundy and lastly a sheer tangerine. It was a very clean fresh look and I loved the sheer glossy lip colors used!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2) Shift by Nimish Shah/Payal Khandwala/Roma Narsinghani

The second show of the day has 3 designers showcasing their creations.

Hair : Once again we saw the sleek ponytail (as seen on Day 1) but this time with a bun on top.

 

 

 

Makeup Breakdown : The makeup consisted of a smokey liner and kohl that framed and defined the eyes. The face was kept matte with just a hint of natural color on the cheeks. A peachy pink gloss was applied on the lips to complete the look. The gloss shade was gorgeous – it looked nude on the duskier models but shows up a pretty soft peachy pink on the paler ones.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 3) Komal Sood/Pernia Qureshi

The 3rd show had 2 designers showcasing their work and has a very sophisticated, vintage inspired theme. Soft wavy hair, lace gloves, sequins and a retro burgundy pout brought together this look beautifully! Amy Jackson was the showstopper for Pernia Qureshi and I saw Clint Fernandes create a beautiful look on her! Amy Jackson has the prettiest features and skin I’ve seen till at LFW. Her eyes are a lovely soft green and she has beautiful naturally pink lips. In the pictures below she is only wearing clear gloss.

Makeup Breakdown : The face had the barest hint of color on the cheeks. The eyes had a soft wash of a burgundy tinged brown on the lids with false lashes (no liner/kohl). The focus was on the glossy burgundy lips which added the touch of mysterious sophistication to the look.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Showstopper Amy Jackson had some added bronze glitter on the eyes which looked really glam!

 

 

 

 

4) Babita M/Drashta

This show had 2 designers showcasing their designs. The makeup had a graphic liner with a pop of yellow on the lids, it looked great!

Hair : The hair was crimped leaving a small section near the face which was simply ironed straight. A turban-like head piece adorned the crown.

 

 

 

 

Makeup Breakdown : The eyes for this show were very interesting with graphic black liner on the upper lash line and socket line. The focus was on the pop of yellow on the lid and on the center of the lower lash line. False lashes completed the eye makeup.  The lips were kept natural with a brownish shade (a concealer was used) but it looked peachy/orangey on some of the paler models.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 5) Wendell Rodricks (by Himalayan)

Hair : Once again, a sleek swept back hair with a section of the hair wound around the pony tail. Very clean and chic. Sleek straight ponytails is definitely of the hot hair trends at LFW!

 

 

Makeup Breakdown : The eyes were kept clean and defined with  black gel liner on the upper lash line (with a thick wing). The waterline was lined with a flesh toned pencil and finished with false lashes. 2 lip colors were used in this show – a bright pink (like Lakme Enrich 135) on the paler models and a peachy brown on the duskier models.
