What Faces Canada says about the product :

Soft gentle pencils in a rainbow of shades. Use them to enhance your natural eye color for dramatic effect or give you that bright-eyed glow. Gentle and safe for sensitive eyes.

My take on the product

Faces long wear eye pencils come in a black plastic pencil packaging with a colored end and a colored cap that makes it really easy to locate different shades. Many other brands have the colored ends but I think in this case the colored cap makes it much more convenient. The only slight issue with these pencils is that they aren’t always smooth to sharpen and may need a little pressure.

The texture of the pencil is creamy yet totally workable. I find Colorbar pencils a bit too creamy which leads to the pencil crumbling if too much pressure is applied (and during sharpening as well) but with these, this problem is solved as the texture is smooth yet not too soft. The pigmentation is great and single stroke gives true color. The liner sets into a waterproof, smudge proof finish quite quickly after application and doesn’t budge till removed. I haven’t tested these on the waterline as generally waterproof pencils sting my eyes when used on the waterline. I think these work best on the lash lines.

Navy Blue is a gorgeous deep warm navy blue shade with no shimmer. It has a slight jewel tone to it which makes it really beautiful on the eyes. I’m more into green and purple liners and eye shadows but I really like this one. This is one of the very few blue liners I own! I wear a lot of colored lenses and this liner looks beautiful with honey/brown eyes and turquoise/green eyes. Its not too bright, just has sufficient color so it doesn’t look flat or dull and is a nice alternative to black. Must-have if you like blue liners!

  1. nice… Blue is my signature eyeliner color and use it almost everyday (on my waterline) I have found the Lakme 9-5 twister best till date and the Chambor the worst. Faces, even Avon stings a bit when u apply on the waterline and attempt removing it

  2. I am looking for a navy blue eyeliner for lower lash and day wear . The color I want is like mac Kohl blooz dark navy with shine. I am reluctant to get blooz as its a kohl n will smudge on lower line. can you please tell me if faces navy blue is really a navy blue eyeliner or dark blue n if it compares with the mac eyeliner in shade/color.(i can do without shine but color has to be navy blue). any other suggestion would be great.
