My take on the product

The packaging of the Star Metal or Metallics lip gloss is quite simple – transparent tube with a silver cap. It has a brush applicator inside which is perhaps the only thing that I do not like about this lip gloss. It picks up too much product and since the gloss has a thick texture, one needs to put a bit of effort in getting an even coverage on the lips. I feel a doe foot applicator would have worked so much better than the brush with this texture.

The texture of the lip gloss is on the thicker side but its almost completely non-sticky. It has a near opaque coverage and great pigmentation. I love pigmented lip glosses and this one is just amazing! The coverage reminds me of MAC lipglass but unlike MAC lipglass, Colorbar lipgloss is non-sticky. It is really moisturizing, the shimmer does not stick to the lips and it feels light and comfortable on the lips. You can feel the gloss of course when you rub your lips together but not the shimmer. I dislike gritty shimmer in my lip products! It wore a full 6 hours on me though after about 4 hours (and 2 light meals), there was quite a bit of fading. I think this is a fantastic lip gloss and the wear time makes it even better! The only issue is getting an even coverage for which I blame the brush applicator, it just doesn’t apply as evenly as a doe foot one.

The shade Seductress is a very warm coral pink with a red undertone. It has gold micro-shimmer which is really tiny and absolutely non-gritty. The shade is just gorgeous and subtle enough for everyday wear. It’ll look great on all skin tones and pairs well with both cool and warm toned makeup. I love this shade and would recommend it to everyone!

Overall Verdict

Colorbar Star Metal Lipgloss is a slightly thick, near opaque coverage gloss that is super moisturizing and gives a very good wear time. It feels non-sticky on the lips and the micro shimmer is absolutely non-gritty. The only issue for me is the brush applicator which doesn’t apply the gloss evenly in one-go. The shade Seductress is a gorgeous warm coral pink with a red undertone – it is a lovely shade for all skin tones! I would highly recommend this to everyone!
