Hey everyone!
Its Budget Monday and today I’m reviewing one of my favorite budget eye shadows ~ Colorbar eye shadow in Heatwave!
Price : Rs 300 for 3 g
I have previously reviewed the shades Spicy Brown and Flirt from this range in detail. Summarizing from previous reviews :
Colorbar eye shadows come in a round pan packaging with a mirror and small applicator in the bottom compartment. The texture of the eye shadow is soft and smooth though it has a slight grittiness and it is not very finely milled. It is really well pigmented and blends very easily as well. I get a good staying power of 5-6 hours without primer which is pretty great! For Rs 300 (previously Rs 250), these are quite affordable and quite good quality as well. I like the shade selection though I think they could add a few mattes to the range. For a more detailed breakdown of the formula, read my review of Spicy Brown HERE.
The shade Heatwave is a gorgeous olive tinged antique gold shade with a pearl finish. It is one of those easy, effortless shades that suit everyone and can be applied all over the lid with some liner and mascara to get a fabulous neutral eye! I am personally a huge fan of greens and olives and this shade is a lovely addition to my olive eye shadow collection. Highly recommended to everyone!
Rating : 4.5/5
I have applied a light wash of Colorbar Heatwave all over lid + outer half of lower lash line (without primer), you can do a smokey eye with this as well!

Its definitely a gorgeous all over lid color! but may look muddy for darker eye lids na?
I think it’ll look fine, it has shimmer so it won’t get dull or muddy!
Waow!! It looks amazing on you…though m not an eye shadow person, but I think I should buy them. But first of all I need to buy false eyelashes, please recommend me a brand which would give a natural look to my eyes..please!! And then would buy the eye shadows…
You should go try eye shadows first, eye lashes are quite tricky and there are very few available in India at a reasonable price!
Ohh..first eye shadows n then lashes!!
Oh wowww, such a pretty shade!! Loved it,
Its lovely isnt it?
I love such shades a lot! this is really a must-have Ankita! thanks for the review! I always try to limit my buys to neutral makeup as 5 days office needs that! My brights just eat dust! this one is superb for office too!
Yes it is
looks beautiful…but like Parita said, it may not look as good on pigmented lids, right?
Since it has a bit of shimmer, it would work alright!
loved the shade
Wow!!!
Olive tinged gold is totally my kinda shade..lovely review and swatch Anki..though on a self imposed makeup ban, guess I will get this alone
)
its so damn pretty shade
You should, its such a pretty shade
Do these eyeshadows contain parabens in the ingredient list ?
I’ll check and let you know, I’ve thrown out the outer packaging so will have to check it out next time I visit the store.
I loove this one. Will go very well with Indian outfits
Yes
great pigmentation and gorgeous color
Thanks
