My take on the product
Neutrogena Deep Clean products have always worked well for me and this is no exception!
The toner comes in a simple white plastic bottle with a yellow cap which unfortunately is not too sturdy. While the bottle itself is fairly strong, the cap isn’t and won’t survive a violent fall! Mine chipped a bit from the side when it fell from my hands once. The bottle has a small opening for the product to flow through which works well with the thin watery consistency of the product.
The toner itself is a clear watery liquid with a refreshing fragrance which reminds me of Witch Hazel (listed as one of the ingredients). The application is simple like any other toner – take a few drops of toner on a cotton swab and wipe cleansed skin avoiding the eyes and lips. One of the best things about this toner is the cooling sensation which is such a relief during the hot summer months. The formula is really strong but super effective and it removes every bit of dirt/oil from the pores leaving the skin absolutely clean! I do see a slight tightening of pores after use but really slight. It doesn’t clear existing blackheads but it definitely slows down the frequency of new ones. My skin feels refreshed and super clean after using this and the number of blackheads cropping up has reduced significantly! It doesn’t make my skin dry but I always moisturize as a matter of routine.
For oily/acne prone skin, it works really well and cleanses skin very thoroughly which is the key to keep blackheads and pimples at bay! I will definitely recommend it to those looking for an effective toner for oily skin. However, I’m not sure if it’ll work well with very sensitive skin because its quite strong and gives a cooling sensation (with a slight sting). The quantity is sufficient to last a few months so its definitely worth the price!

Using a toner is one of the simplest ways to keep pimples at bay and the Neutrogena Deep Clean Blackhead Eliminating Cooling Toner is one awesome toner for oily/acne prone skin. It deep cleanses removing every bit of dirt/oil/cleanser residue, gives a cooling sensation and reduces the frequency and number of blackheads. The quantity is enough to last a few months easily! Will recommend it to those looking for an effective toner for oily skin.
