Today I’m reviewing a very special product which many of you have been requesting me to review for quite a while ~ the amazing Clarins Beauty Flash balm which is my absolutely favorite primer! It is a radiance boosting light-weight balm that gives dull skin a turnaround giving a luminous finish. Ideal for going out or for bad skin days, this is the one product that I think totally is worth splurging on!

Beauty Flash Balm can also be used as a mask. Method of Use :

For a more beautiful appearance is a flash : After cleansing, apply a thin later of Beauty Flash Balm to neck, face and decollete using gentle sweeping movements(do not rub in). Apply makeup immediately. If your skin is very dry, you can apply your regular moisturizer prior to it.

For more energized, soothed skin : After cleansing, apply a thick later of Beauty Flash Balm and leave on for 10-15 minutes. Remove any excess with a tissue.

My take on the product

Clarins has saved me a lot of time by giving such a wonderful description of the product! Clarins Beauty Flash Balm is one of my absolute favorite products! Why? Because it does every one of the those things claimed above! It brightens, tightens the skin and gives it a luminous finish. No matter how tired or dull your skin may be looking, it will transform it so that you can look like a million bucks EVERYTIME! I picked up 2 5 ml sample tubes of this along with a purchase of mine because Lisa Eldridge(for those who don’t know her, check out her website HERE) raves about this product and her recommendations are always great! These samples have lasted me quite a while and I will soon be picking up the full sized tube because my skin loves it!

It comes in a very simple white and red tube but contains a powerful product inside! It is pale peach in color and is quite light weight in texture. It sinks into the skin almost completely giving a non-greasy finish which makes it suitable for all skin types. It feels moisturizing and soothing on the skin and you can see the radiant, luminous quality in your skin a few minutes after application. Additionally, it also makes the skin soft and smooth in texture. It has a mild soothing fragrance which fades off some time after application. One of the best things about it as that its not the kind of product you would need to remove before sleeping. It has a multitude of skin benefits and hence can be used overnight on the skin as well as it does not clog pores.

Even though the instructions say to apply makeup immediately, I generally apply my foundation after a few minutes so that the balm has sufficient time to sink in and work its magic! During the heavy summer months, it does make my skin oily in the T-zone after 2-3 hours of wear but the rest of the year, when my skin is more in the combination state, the texture works perfectly for me. Dry skinned women will need to moisturize before applying it as it won’t be hydrating enough.

As mentioned in the description by Clarins, it can be used as a primer before makeup to get a smooth, radiant finish or as a mask to energize and soothe the skin. Either way, it is a miracle worker and I would HIGHLY recommend this product to everyone! It is not the kind of product you use everyday but if you’re going out or if you skin feels very dull/tired someday, this will your savior! Many days when I’m supposed to take pictures for a review/look and my skin is feeling very dull, I use this as a primer and it removes all signs of dullness from my skin! It is expensive but so so worth it! Used sparingly, 50 ml of this will last a long time.

I cannot think of a single con for this product except its availability in India!
