MAC Tuesday : Sheertone Shimmer Blush Sunbasque Review, Swatch and Photos

Hey everyone!

For my MAC Tuesday feature today, I’m reviewing the MAC Sheertone Shimmer Blush in Sunbasque.

Sunbasque is a beautiful bronzed peach with a healthy dose of fine golden shimmer ~ the perfect recipe for a gorgeous sunkissed glow! I think this is one blush that every warm toned/tanned girl must have!

Price : Rs 1350 for 6 g

My take on the product

MAC Sheertone Shimmer blush in Sunbasque comes in the regular MAC packaging – black plastic case with transparent lid, no mirror/applicator.

The Sheertone shimmer blush formula from MAC has a smooth, but not powdery texture. The Satin and Matte finishes can be a little too soft sometimes and can have fall out in the pan but this is not the case with the Sheertone Shimmer blushes. The pigmentation of this range is sheer-medium which allows one to layer the blush to deepen the color intensity if desired. The best part about this formula is that it blends really easily and the shimmer is very fine and so well integrated into the blush that one can hardly feel it in the texture. The ease of blending and the medium pigmentation makes this an ideal blush for beginners! It wears really well too, I got an excellent wear time of close to 8 hours with Sunbasque.

The shade is a beautiful bronzed peach containing very fine golden shimmer. MAC describes it a peach with pearl but I think there is definitely a bronzed reddish undertone to it that makes it very versatile and wearable for a lot of skin tones! I have fairly neutral skin and this blush gives a lovely warm glow to my cheeks. I sometimes apply this like a contour, sometimes like a blush and sometimes I just dust it on the tops of the cheekbones. Its a bronzer, blush and highlighter rolled into one! I think it would look supremely flattering on warm/dusky/tanned skin. The shimmer is really fine and does not accentuate pores or imperfections, it suitable for day wear as well and goes with all warm toned and red lip colors. Its the perfect shade if you’re looking for a natural sun-kissed glow!

I cannot think of a single con for this product apart from the fact that its not easy on the pocket! The formula is so easy to work with, lasts well and the shade is lovely! I’d highly recommend it everyone. This is a MUST-HAVE for all warm-toned/dusky/tanned beauties!
