Happy Weekend everyone!
Weekends should be more fun and after all the heavy duty makeup talk all week, I bring to you Fun Saturdays to give you a bit of a glimpse into my life apart from the blog! My long term followers would know that I’m not one for sharing a lot of personal stuff on the blog and when I’m reviewing products or doing tutorials, its all serious makeup talk! But its always fun to find out more about each other and I hope to get to know all of you better through my Fun Saturdays feature!

Fun Saturdays Vol.1
Starting off the first post of this feature with a some basic things about myself..
1. I was born and raised in the lovely town of Bhopal
I spent the first 19 years of my life in Bhopal and then came to Mumbai for college. I have a strong family base there and a beautiful house where I visit my parents at least twice a year. It is a beautiful city with lots of greenery, lakes and its such a treat to go there from the grimy, congested Mumbai(I love Mumbai but you have to agree that it is grimy and congested)!

2. I have an engineering degree from IIT Bombay
I just completed my B.Tech from IIT Bombay last month and as some of you know, have taken up blogging full time. Till 2 years back I had no idea I would be into makeup and beauty but once I started Corallista, that was all I wanted to do.

3. I am an avid artist
Well I haven’t created anything in almost a year as I’ve been so busy managing the blog and balancing my studies at college but now that I have some more time, I hope to pick up the brushes(and pencils) soon!

4. My favorite breakfast food is Poha
In fact I could eat it for lunch and dinner as well 
I love cooking it myself complete with the potatoes, groundnuts, peas and a dash of lemon. I have had it 3 times already this week!

5. I am a trained Kathak dancer
I guess ‘am’ is a bit of an overstatement since I haven’t danced in a long time! But I did learn it for 6 years when I was in school!

Oh Ankita! ur an IITian!! what a turn around! a Techie who is so good with Makeup! haha, even I am a techie but not so good with Makeup stuff! Kudos to you for opting for the career u liked! Even I love Poha a lot! The picture has made me want some now

Where were you born and raised? I was born in Dehradun but was raised in many cities in UP thanks to my father’s transferrable job.
Where did you do your college from? I am also an Engineer, studied from Dr.K.N.Modi Inst.
What are your hobbies? My hobbies are pets! I love them and on weekends visit the Govt. dog pound to volunteer, reading(a lot!), and yes Makeup too!
What is your favorite breakfast food? RIght now, with this pic of Poha staring at me I cannot think of anything else. But yes, do try hotcakes from Macdonald’s, they are yummy!

Where were you born and raised? well born in kerala but never stayed there,I only go for visits once a year…brought up in korba,c.g then in orissa for a while and then in vizag 4 d last 2 years of my schooling…
Where did you do your college from? I am currently in my final year B.tech from VIT Vellore,TN
What are your hobbies? Love listening to music and playing PC games

Hmmm, first of all this was a fun read. I’ve always liked the fact that you are rather reticent about sharing personal info on the blog, for some reason! And that sketch you’ve done is lovely. I guess thats where the “art of make up” comes from as well.

Born in a small town in Kerala, raised in Digboi, Assam.
I am a BA literature from St.Teresa’s College, Cochin.
Like you I’ve been fortunate to turn one of my biggest hobbies, writing, into a profession. I’m also an avid reader, of both serious and light fiction. I was seriously into music, but now I’m equally content to hang out with my kids or even watch TV.
My favourite breakfast food is probably a nice cheesy sandwich, but I also like Ghee Dosa as it is made in the small joints across S.India.

my hometown and current town is jodhpur. during bcom, i joined my father’s business. i love my school and i hv tears in my eyes whenenver i step unside the school’s church’s gate.
i love poha too. but not as much as u do! hehe! my fav food is traditional thin crust wood oven pizza and random roadside food.
frankly, i m not really a makeup person coz no makeup can withstand the heat of jodhpur but i like to keep my skin healthy and glowing.

I am a Bengali, born and raised in Kolkata. I have done my graduation in history from Presidency college and then moved on to do my masters from Delhi Univ. I came back to Kol and started working with some ngos…then i changed tracks, got into learning and dev which led me to my current job.
I love food, makeup, an avid movie buff, love to shop, travel and now blog. It was at 3 am in the morning when i decided to start a blog and thts how poutpretty started. My inspiration was all you lovely gals whose blogs i go thru regularly.

Where did you do your college from?: Associate’s degree from BMCC, working on a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from NYU.
What are hobbies?: Reading, blogging, writing poetry, baking, collecting vintage makeup, working at an animal shelter.
What is your favorite breakfast food?: Tomatoes in scrambled eggs with buttered toast.
Some random background info: my anthropology professor did research on the Bhopal disaster. He lived in India for a few years.

College n Schooling : Till 6th I was at Odisha nely, n frm 7th to 12th I was at Andhra Pradesh. N nw I completed my graduation frm Odisha(again!!) . M goin B’lore for my MBA.
Hobbies : Surfing net about nething and everythng,talking to my best buddies, cooking, dancing( I learnt Bharatnatyam for 2years n started learning Belly dance,which is mah fav!!),researching abt gadgets and makeup stuffs!! hehehe

Where were you born and raised?
I was actually born in a city called Tehuacan in Mexico, It’s the first place corn was grown in the world, or something! I spent the first 2-3 years of my life there but I don’t remember it at all. I was -raised- in Long, Beach and Los, Angeles in California. Sadly, I’m not a fan of California weather. It’s too sunny and warm for me, but I can’t imagine living anywhere else.
Where did you do your college from?
I did my undergrad at California State University Dominguez Hills and I’m planning on going to Law School in Southern California as well – but I haven’t picked a school yet.
What are your hobbies?
You mean besides beauty blogging? Uh…right now I’m not doing anything but preparing for the LSAT. But I spend a lot of my free time watching code compile, playing guitar, writing (fiction and interactive fiction) and taking care of my 3 cats.
