Happy Weekend everyone!
Hope all of you have some great plans for this weekend. Its the first weekend since the monsoon and the weather is Mumbai is just delightful! Makes me even happier cos its my birthday tomorrow!
Coming back to the products ~ today I’m reviewing Sleek Makeup Blush by 3 in the shade Flame which is a gorgeous trio of coral-red-orange blushes.
Price : $15.99 (approx. Rs 886)
What Sleek Makeup says about the product :
Blush by 3 is a trio shade blush palette that takes you effortlessly from day to night! Each palette has 3 ultra pigmented shades to choose from in matte and shimmer shades. Use the matte shades for a subtle day time flush, and add the shimmery shade over the top for a touch of night time glamour! With 5 different shaded palettes to choose from , your only dilemma is which one to pick! Choose from Pink Sprint, Pumpkin, Lace, Flame, or Sugar.
My take on the product
Sleek Makeup Blush by 3 comes in a rectangular black plastic packaging with a mirror but no applicator inside. The packaging is quite compact and sturdy and hence travel friendly. I love the concept of a blush palette, it makes the perfect travel companion especially since each blush is different from the other both shade and finish-wise.
The blush texture is super soft (almost powdery) and too much pressure from the brush can kick up excess product. Each of these blushes has amazing pigmentation and hence one needs use a light hand using these else its very easy to end up with clown cheeks! They blend really easily with barely any effort and this is one of my favorite things about these blushes! Since they are intensely pigmented, each of these lasts a good 6+ hours on my cheeks, the more pigmented shade (Bonfire – centre) lasts the longest of about 9-10 hours on me. Overall, these blushes have an amazing formula, the intense pigmentation may make it slightly difficult for beginners to use but its easy to get the hang of how less product is required once you use it 1-2 times. The best is that it packs a whopping 20 g of product in 3 beautiful shades for $16!
About Shipping charges :
Sleek has reasonable shipping charges to India. I had ordered 2 eye shadow palettes, 1 blush palette and 1 pigment and I paid $7.50 (Rs 350-420 depending on the state of the Rupee against the $) for shipping which is quite good. One of my readers ordered products worth Rs 4000 and paid the same shipping. Its great to know that the shipping won’t astronomically increase as the no. of products/value of the order increases.
The 3 shades in trio Flame are (from left, as pictured):
- Molten : Dusty peachy coral shade, has fine gold shimmer that translates more to a sheen on the cheeks. It is the most subtle and natural shade of this trio and its slight earthiness makes it a is beautiful natural blush!
- Bonfire : Matte red shade, has intense pigmentation and looks amazing on the cheeks! Would suit all skin tones.
- Furnace : Orangey coral shade with very fine gold shimmer, this is my favorite shade of this trio. Its a shade that just livens up the face!
Blush by 3 in Flame is more suitable for neutral-to-warm toned skins. Very pale/cool toned women might find the shades too strong or warm for them. For dusky beauties, this is an wonderful palette and I highly recommend it!
The GOOD about Sleek Makeup Blush by 3 Flame :
- Compact packaging, comes with a mirror
- Soft texture
- Intense pigmentation
- Blend very easily
- Excellent staying power (6+ hours for the lightest shade, 9+ hours for the darkest)
- Great quality and quantity for the price
- Reasonable shipping charges
- Available in many 3 shade combinations
- Need to slightly careful while using these are they are super pigmented!
Overall Verdict
Sleek Makeup blushes are a makeup lovers dream, they are super soft and intensely pigmented, blend real easily and deliver good staying power as well. The Blush by 3 range contains blush trios containing 3 gorgeous shades (20 g of product!) at a great price! The trio Flame contains 3 beautiful peach-red-orangey shades that will flatter medium to dusky skin tones. I love the quality as well as the price of these blushes, highly recommend these to everyone!
Rating : 4.5/5

This is a nice trio of blushes. I wish Sleek were sold in America.
Bonfire looks like a toned down version of NARS Exhibit A…though a bit scary in the pan it will add a lot of jazz to our Indian skin so I guess girls should actually go ahead and try such colours. Also being a matte blush the colour can be built up or toned down to suit one’s requirement….n hey I tried ‘take me as I am’ lip color in ‘sensuous red’ from colorbar today….im in two minds about it but picked ‘flirtatious pink’ which is a real pretty everyday pink and I think it will suite a range of skin tones…..oh dat was longer than i intended-sorry if u got bored…..
You kidding? I Love long comments
Bonfire does look like Exhibit A though I think Bonfire is redder compared to the latter which is more leaning towards orange. I’m not so happy with how the Colorbar Lip color fades, it gets a bit patchy after meals in an unflattering way but I will wear it a bit more before reviewing. Maybe it was that particular meal that did that to the lip color! I do remember seeing Flirtatious Pink, it was pretty and according to the SA, one of the hottest selling shades!
I loved these trios…..I also liked sugar and lace…….and furnace looks very good on you….
LOvely shades! and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
I too love the concept of blush palettes! loved all the shades especially the first one!
All three look amazing!!
I’ve had one sleek blush and I plan on purchasing at least 2 of these (just can’t decide which yet). I love how pigmented they are.
