A L’Oreal Paris Electric Eye makeup Tutorial : Silver Smokey Eyes in 8 Easy steps

Hey everyone!

Today I’m doing a Smokey Silver eye makeup tutorial using L’oreal Paris makeup products. I have a lot of favorites from L’oreal’s eye makeup range and I’ve used those here to create this look. All you need is 2 Infallible eye shadows (from the new L’Or Electric range), a kohl pencil, liner and mascara to create this simple party look!

How to create this look in 8 Easy Steps :

Step 1 : Using a flat stiff brush, apply black gel liner all over the lid and soften the edges before it sets using Q-tips. Alternatively, you can use the kohl pencil to apply the black base on the lid.

Step 2 : Apply eye shadow in Flashblack Silver from the inner corner + tear duct area to the end of the  lid leaving just the outer corner of the lid.

Step 3 : Apply eye shadow in Eternal Black at the outer corner of the lid as shown.

Step 4 : Using a soft fluffy brush (Like MAC 217 or Faces blending brush) blend the eye shadows in the crease till the harsh lines are smoothed out.

Step 5 : Tightline the eyes with  the Self Advancing Eye liner (black kohl) pencil. Tightlining simply means applying kohl to the upper as well as lower waterlines. Lining the upper waterline gives the eye lashes a denser look.

Step 6 : Using a pencil brush (like MAC 219), apply Eternal Black to the lower lash line leaving the tear duct area (where the silver is). Apply a light dusting of Flashblack silver under the brow bone, make sure to use very little product, we just want a hint of shine here when the light hits the browbone.

Step 7 : Using the Instant Impact Felt Liner, line the upper lash line as shown. You can add a flick in the outer corner for a winged/cat eye look.

Step 8 : Curl eye lashes (very important!) and finish off with the Volume Million Lashes Mascara!

Clean up any fall out from the eye shadows using a moist cotton pad and apply concealer under the eyes and foundation all over the face and neck. Set with Powder, apply a natural shade of blush and finish off the look with a nude lipstick/lipgloss!

  1. You look absolutely gorgeous and I have always been a fan of big smokey eyes. The tutorial that you have presented is also great. I will surely try it out. I like applying a lot of eye make-up but the only problem that I face is that of removing it properly after getting back home and before bed. Then a friend of mine suggested Parachute’s new summer variant – Parachute Summer Fresh. It is light and has mint in it. You need not buy a separate make-up remover when you have got this. It acts as a body lotion cum make-up remover.

    1. Thanks Aruna! The tip sounds great but since it has mint in it, I’m a bit concerned it might sting if it enters the eyes. You can try using Coconut or Olive oil as well, just dab some on a cotton and let is rest on your eyes for a few seconds, the makeup will come off in a jiffy!

  2. Superb look Ankita. This is tempting me to buy atleast one of the Infallible eyeshadows! 😀 😀
Which one shade would you recommend from this range Ankita?

  3. hey wch type of eyeliner wud u suggest me as im a beginner nd find it difficult to get tht perfect, fine line

    1. Hi Aayushi, try the L’Oreal Instant Impact felt liner, it has a felt tip and a marker style packaging. Super easy to apply!

  4. Hello Ankita,

Have you reviewed the Loreal true match mineral foundation powder?

If not can you please review?
