Always Apricot is a beautiful apricot shade, a sheer orange with a bit of pink that is wearable yet looks youthful and fun! In my stash, this is the definitely the most wearable and flattering orange. I have swatched it heavily (4-5 swipes) to show the true color but you can simply wear one swipe on your lips for a sheer wash of color. If you’re itching to try out the ‘Color of the Year‘ but bold shades intimidate you, this is the best pick! It contains a little bit of frost but it is quite subtle and less pronounced than the shade Rambling Rose from the same range. I have worn it with a Tangerine Smokey eye and I think it pairs quite well. It is one of those shade that go well with dramatic as well as neutral eyes! I recently wore this shade just with brown liner, mascara and a bit of earthy blush and it looked great worn like that as well.

I would definitely recommend this to everyone! If you thought orange was too bold for you, this lipstick would prove you wrong!

The formula :

The formula is wears about 3.5-4 hours (with meals) since this is not an intensely pigmented shade. After 4 hours+ meals, one is left with a light stain on the lips but about 70% of it has worn off by this time. I’m a tiny bit disappointed with the wear time as I found Lingering Mocha to be better wearing than this one. Nevertheless, its quite good for a sheer non-staining lipstick and I do find myself reaching out for orange when I want something more wearable yet fun! The formula is non-drying but not moisturizing either. The texture is smooth and creamy though not buttery soft.

Rating : 4.25/5

It’s a nice shade, do you think it would show up well on medium toned people?

🙂 I really like the shade range! I wish they had launched all the shades in India, we got only around 12 out of the 35 launched in the US!
