My take on the product

The Chambor Jewel Crayon comes in colored plastic encased crayon packaging which is super simple to use but it sharpens a bit unevenly. The outer packaging is the same color as the shade which is very convenient. Since its a thick pencil one would need a sharpener meant for the thicker pencils.

The formula of this product is AMAZING! It glides on super smooth and has a cream to powder finish. It feels weightless on the eyes without any of the stickiness that some crayon form eye shadows have sometimes. It can be smudged and blended immediately after application, it sets to an *almost* smudgeproof and waterproof finish in a few minutes. The wear time is absolutely brilliant. On my oily lids, this wore for a full 12 hours without barely any creasing, smudging or fading! To test it further, I wore it to bed and it was intact on my lids when I woke up, making it the longest wearing product I’ve tried so far. If you rub your eyes vigorously, it would not smudge though some of it might come off on your fingertip. I would give it a 5/5 for the formula!

The shade is a coppery brown base with fine gold shimmer. The shade is perfect for a simple metallic eye and would go really well with ethnic outfits! If you’re someone who wears makeup only for special occasions or if you wear mostly ethnic outfits, you would find this product really useful! The shade will suit all skin tones, the gold shimmer would especially look gorgeous on duskier beauties! I would HIGHLY recommend this product to everyone, the ease of use along with the brilliant formula makes this a stellar product!

I wish these would come in more shades, I only found one other shade apart from this one at the Chambor counter – a plummy taupe shade with silver shimmer.

Overall Verdict

Chambor Jewels Metallic eye shadow crayon is a smooth cream to powder formula eye shadow that comes in an easy-to-use crayon packaging and gives amazingly long wear even on oily lids. It feels light weight and non-gritty on the eyes and is almost smudgeproof and entirely waterproof. Shade no. 1 is a gorgeous coppery brown shade with gold shimmer that would go well with Indian skin tones. I love the formula though I wish the crayon would sharpen more smoothly!

I would definitely recommend this product to everyone!

Very pretty shade, looks a bit like Bourjois duochrome pencil in Brun morde, I was looking for this chambor one, but most counters don;t seem to stock it

It does look a bit like that though Brun Mordore has a pearl finish while this is more on the shimmer side. I also haven’t seen it on many counters, if you find it anywhere do check out the Jewel eye liners, they are amazing! I am regretting not picking up the Teal one!

I know, especially since the quite a bit of the product gets wasted during sharpening!
