Hey everyone!

My mum introduced me to Chambor lipsticks when I first started wearing makeup and these are still one of my favorites whenever my lips are feeling in need of some extra nourishment! Today I’m reviewing the shade Truly Coral from the Truly Lasting range.

What the Chambor says about the product :

Chambor Truly lasting Lipsticks have a long-wearing formula with shea butter sunscreen and vitamins A & E that pamper and comfort while creating maximum color impact and helps lips look smooth and even. It is delicately fragranced with a fresh scent and packaged in a striking, sophisticated case which is quite chic.

So steal the show with Chambor Truly Lasting Lipsticks…
For colour that lasts and lasts and lasts…
and for lips that surprise you, every time!!

A Stylish Extra Long Lipstick which moisturizes, conditions & protects lips.

Ingredients:

  • Shea Butter (Nourishes the lips. Good for dehydrated and dry lips).
  • Vitamin A (Hydration).
  • Vitamin – E (Anti – Ageing).
  • SPF – 15.

Features:

  • It has a rich creamy shiny texture & gives a glossy finish.
  • Water Resistant : Long Lasting Effect.
  • Triple Action Formula.
  • Regular use o makes the Lips Soft & Healthy.
  • No Animal Ingredients.
  • Non – Comodogenic.

My take on the product

Chambor Truly lasting lipstick comes in a long thin navy blue casing with a thin silver metal band in the centre , shade name at one end and the trademark Chambor rose at the other end. The casing is thickest in the centre and tapers off towards the ends. Inside, the lipstick is housed in a thin silver casing. I find the packaging very unique and different from normal lipsticks the only drawback being that the only way to distinguish between shades is to read the tiny labels.

Chambor lipsticks are buttery soft in texture and glide like a dream giving opaque coverage in a single swipe! It is a treat for dry lips and even on chapped lips, it does not accentuate the flaky areas. If you’re having the bad lip day, this is THE lipstick to reach out for! It is super moisturizing and healing on the lips, it leaves the lips feeling hydrated and conditioned even the color is almost faded. The drawback of its super creamy formula is that it transfers to cups/glasses and doesn’t stay too long. Without meals, it would probably last longer but with mild eating/drinking, it stays about 3 hours on me. The name itself ‘Truly Lasting’ is rather misleading in this respect!

These have a caramel cookie like fragrance but leave a slightly minty cool sensation on the lips which is very mild so is not an issue.

The quantity is definitely too less (1.9 g) and since its really creamy, it will be used up quickly but if you’re someone who has dry lips, these are well worth the investment! I’m not very happy with the price increase from Rs 550 to Rs 625 in the past 1.5 years but these are still one of the best lipsticks for dry lips!

The shade Truly Coral :

Truly Coral is dusty coral shade, very flattering on medium-dusky skin tones especially! It has a creamy finish and adds a glossy touch to the lips. The shade is similar to Maybelline Moisture Extreme lipstick Buff(which is a little browner than this) but the formula is better especially in the hydration department. It is of the everyday warm shades that brighten up the face without looking adding too much drama. It is the Perfect shade for summers, I would definitely recommend it to everyone!

The GOOD about Chambor Truly Lasting Lipstick : Truly Coral

  • Very moisturizing, Gives smooth, healthy gloss to lips on application
  • Super soft, smooth creamy texture , glide easily on lips
  • Good pigmentation with buildable coverage
  • Contains shea butter, Vitamin A,E
  • SPF 15
  • Fades evenly leaving tint on lips
  • Does not settle in creases, fine lines
  • Does not bleed or feather
  • Feels light on lips, comfortable to wear
  • Contains no animal ingredients, not tested on animals

The NOT-SO-GOOD about Chambor Truly Lasting Lipstick : Truly Coral

  • Expensive for the quantity (only 1.9 g)
  • Staying Power is average (3-3.5 hrs with meals)
  • Super creamy – transfer on cups/glasses etc.

Overall Verdict

Chambor Truly Lasting lipstick is super hydrating formula that nourishes and conditions lips while giving opaque coverage and color. The texture is soft like butter and it gives a creamy finish to the lips. Unfortunately, it doesn’t last beyond 3 hours on my lips (With light meals) but these are definitely one of the most hydrating lipsticks around. If you have dry lips, you should definitely give these a try! The shade Truly Coral is a dusty coral shade, very flattering on all skin tones but medium-dusky beauties will especially look great in this.

Possible Dupes : Maybelline Moisture Extreme Buff

Rating : 4/5

I like the formulation of this lippie, but the packaging is boring beyond belief, Chambor seriously needs to improve their packaging ASAP!
