Continuing with the series of L’oreal Paris Infallible Le Rouge lipstick reviews, today I’m reviewing the shade Rambling Rose which is a mid tone rose shade with a frost finish.
Price : Rs 900
Rambling Rose is a mid tone rose shade with a hint of plum and fine golden frost. The shade is not quite intense as the creamy matte finishes of the same range like Bold Bordeaux, Lingering Mocha and applies with a full coverage but medium intensity on the lips. The finish is semi-matte and the golden frost adds a nice dimension to the lips. I’m personally not a fan of frost but I do like bit of glossy shimmer to I pair this lipstick with a touch of clear gloss. The result is a very natural soft rosy lip which is perfect for everyday wear. This is my current go-to lipstick, it adds a bit of color to the face without adding too much and hence is work/college appropriate as well. It would look great on most skin tones though very dusky beauties (above NC45) might find a little difficult to carry.
Overall, it is definitely one of the most wearable and universal shades from the range, I would definitely recommend it!
The formula :
The formula is moderately long wearing (about 4-4.5 hours on me) since this is not an intensely pigmented shade. After 4 hours+ meals, one is left with a light stain on the lips but about 70% of it has worn off by this time. I’m a tiny bit disappointed with the wear time as I found Lingering Mocha to be better wearing than this one. Nevertheless, its quite good for a medium intensity, non-staining lipstick and I do find myself reaching out for this shade again and again since its so easy to carry. The formula is non-drying but not moisturizing either. The texture is smooth and creamy though not buttery soft.
Rating : 4.25/5
