Stance is a gorgeous fuchsia violet shade with a creme finish which is part of Human Fundamentalism ~ Illamasqua’s Spring Summer 2012 collection. It is not a conventional purple but more of vivid violet with a strong pink tone. I love the uniqueness of the color and how it looks bright yet elegant on my nails.

It comes in an attractive square cross-section bottle, unique to Illamasqua and contains a fine quality brush that applies the lacquer evenly on the nails. The formula is neither too thick nor too runny and applies evenly. The first coat is not nearly opaque but it goes fully opaque in 2 coats. It dries quickly though one needs to be careful for another half an hour as the varnish takes some more time to set fully. The finish is neither too glossy but nor a flat matte, its somewhere in between and looks elegant and understated without being dull. I love the quality of this nail paint, especially when it comes to its staying power. I’ve worn this for about 11 days at a stretch and it barely chipped near the nail tips. It is expensive for a nail color but the quality is well worth the price!

Overall Verdict

Illamasqua nail paints are everything one could possibly ask for – smooth, even formula that applies without streaking, goes opaque in two coats, dries quickly enough and wears strong with barely any chipping for 8-10 days. The formula is excellent and the shade range is quite amazing. The shade Stance is a beautiful fuchsia violet shade with a soft creme finish. The richness of the hue along with its understated brightness makes it suitable for all age groups. I would definitely recommend this to everyone!
