My take on the product

The Jordana lip glosses come in transparent tubes with silver polished cap. I’m not a fan of Jordana packaging in general as it looks a little cheap and tacky. The silver polish peels off very soon especially as you remove the price tag sticker from the cap revealing duller finish below which is just very unpleasant to look at. Makeup should be beautiful, its OK if its not packaged like Guerlain and Dior but it shouldn’t have peeling polish! The applicator is a slightly longer than usual sponge tip applicator which has very little slant but its still easy enough to apply with it.

The lip gloss is non-sticky and has a thin consistency. It gives sheer color to the lips which may not be enough to cover heavy pigmentation but does even out the uneven tone of the lips. The formula sits comfortably on the lips, softens and moisturizes and wears for about 4 hours (with light meal). It may not fully survive a heavy meal but then most glosses don’t. The shimmer in the pink shade is very fine and does not feel gritty on the lips or settle into fine lines. Overall, I really like the formula. They apply quite evenly on the lips and wear well, I’d HIGHLY recommend these!

The shade E-123 :

E-123 is a sheer warm pink shade with fine golden pink shimmer. Its a gorgeous shade that gives just a whisper of color with glamorous shine to the lips. Excellent for pairing over pink lipsticks or wearing alone paired with colorful, vibrant eyes. The shimmer is evenly distributed and not very dense, so it would not look too frosty or pale on darker skin tones as well.

The shade XOXO :

XOXO is a creamy sheer red that applies evenly giving a soft wash of red to the lips. Since its quite sheer it appears more like a coral red on the lips and formula is sheer enough to be worn by those who aren’t comfortable with bold reds. Its a nice shade to start out with if you are new to reds. The shade has a warm tone but since its sheer, I don’t see why it wouldn’t look great on cooler skin tones as well.

Overall I like both the shades and since they aren’t too frosty or pigmented, they are easy to wear and would suit all skin tones. They are great to layer over lipsticks as well for some added shine.

Overall Verdict

Jordana USA Lip Out Loud Super Shiny Lip gloss is sheer lip gloss that gives a hint of color to the lips along with incredible shine  that keeps the lips soft and moisturized. The formula is quite good and wears around 4 hours on me but I wish the packaging was a little better as well!
