I had always seen a tiny Jordana counter at Beauty Centre but since my visits there were rare and Jordana was an alien brand I never tried out any products. I came across some good reviews of the products recently and decided to give these a try(I picked up the products from Healthkart.com). I’ve been wearing these recently in some of my looks and I’m quite impressed by the quality despite the very reasonable price tag! Jordana has definitely made it to my favorite budget brands list!
Today I’m reviewing Jordana Powder blush in Sunlit Bronze.

My take on the product
The packaging is rather simple and much as I would not want to use the word, a little tacky. It comes in a simple round pan housed in a greyish plastic body with a transparent screw on lid. There is no mirror or applicator but the transparent lid allows the shade to show through. I prefer flip open lids to screw on lids, they are just more convenient to use. I had ordered 2 blushes and one of those (Touch of Pink) comes with a metallic silver packaging of the same shape while this one is plastic. The metallic one looks less tacky than the plastic one though it still looks very much like a drugstore product.
While the packaging may not be impressive, the formula more than makes up for it. The powder is soft and smooth in texture, it is well pigmented though not overly so. The color intensity is buildable which makes it easy to use for beginners as well. It did not give any issues with blending, no uneven-ness or patchiness. The blush stayed on my oily skin(over foundation) for about 7 hours which is quite good for a blush of this price point. Formula-wise, I would give it a full 5/5!
The shade Sunlit Bronze :
Sunlit Bronze is a dusky peach shade containing very sparse silver shimmer that is not evenly distributed and barely translates on the cheeks. One could think of it as a matte base blush with just a tiny bit of randomly distributed shimmer. The brand describes the shade as a Natural Warm Peach with a Pearl reflective finish, while I agree with the shade description, I don’t think the finish is quite pearlescent.
It gives a touch of warmth to my skin and makes an excellent companion to my warm lipstick shades. It barely shows on in my arm swatch as my arms are tanned right now but I’ve swatched it on white paper for a bit of clarity about the shade and you can also see how it shows up on my cheeks. Overall, I feel this shade gives a natural warmth to the skin without looking too brown or muddy. It might not show up on very dusky skin tones but every one else should give this shade a try.
Its easy on the pocket, the formula is great and the shade is very flattering and versatile as well!
The GOOD about Jordana Powder blush Sunlit Bronze :
- Smooth texture
- Good pigmentation
- Buildable color intensity – makes it easy to use
- Blends well
- Does not get patchy as it wears off
- Good staying power (7+ hours)
- Very reasonably priced!
- The shade would suit most skin tones, gives a natural warmth to the face
- Available online
The NOT-SO-GOOD about Jordana Powder blush Sunlit Bronze :
- The packaging! I wish it was little more attractive or at least less tacky
- The randomly distributed shimmer, they could have done without it
- The quantity is quite less
Jordana Powder blush Sunlit Bronze is a dusky warm peach shade that gives a natural warm glow to the face. The formula is great – smooth texture, good pigmentation with buildable color intensity and good wear time. Overall, its good value for money and I would recommend it to everyone. The only thing I wish was a little better is the packaging which I find really tacky but at its price, it’s a little too much to expect!
