Hey everyone!
I’ve been lately getting a lot of requests for recommendations for green and pastel shades. I’d picked up this shade from Colorbar long time back just for the sake of picking up something green and pastel and I have to admit, I really like it! I’m not a fan of pastels in general apart from clothing and had never tried a pastel nail enamel before but I’m so glad I did!
Price : Rs 150 (available at stylecraze.com for Rs 135)
I’m a huge fan of Colorbar nail paints, I do not own many from Colorbar but the ones I do are dearly loved! The packaging is simple and sleek, the brush is of good quality and coats nails well. The texture is slightly runny but I find it easier to work with runny than thick consistencies. This particular shade applied very streaky in the first coat but evened out in the second coat. It goes fully opaque in 2 coats and the color stays on for a week with minimal chipping. The finish is creamy and glossy which is one of the major reasons why I love Colorbar nail paints, their cream finish looks really luxurious and wonderful on the nails!
It seems like it dries quickly but I did end up getting a bit of fabric pattern on my nails as you can see in the close up as I applied it before going to bed. However, its minimal and can only be seen on close inspection. About 7-8 minutes drying times is quite sufficient to get a decent finish. The overall quality of the nail paint is good though you would need 2 coats and perhaps a top coat too if you do a lot of household work.
The shade Exclusive 15 is a pastel sea green (or mint green) with a creamy glossy finish. I love how it looks on my nails, the color is attention catching but the soft hue is not overwhelming! It is such a pretty shade, I wish it had a name. If I had to name it, I would call it Mint Angel. It definitely looks very fresh and summery and I would recommend it to everyone! Pastel nails are one of the hottest trends this season and a shade like this is quite rare among Indian brands. I think its a MUST-HAVE and its great that is available online!
I was wearing this long sleeved wine colored top today and I love how my nails contrasted with the rich hue of the fabric!
The GOOD about Colorbar Nail color Exclusive 15 :
- Good packaging, quality brush
- Workable thin consistency
- Dries reasonably fast
- Lovely glossy cream finish
- Stays on well for about a week
- Goes opaque and even in 2 coats
- Available online
- Well priced
The NOT-SO-GOOD about Colorbar Nail color Exclusive 15 :
- Need 2 coats, is very streaky in 1 coat
- Dries fast initally but final finish takes a little longer to set (Check the fabric patterns on my nails)
Overall Verdict
Colorbar Nail color Exclusive 15 is a pastel mint green shade that looks gorgeous on the nails in its creamy glossy finish. The formula is good, workable thin consistency that goes on opaque in 2 coats and wears well for about a week with minimal chipping. Would highly recommend this to everyone! Pastel nails are quite in trend right now and this kind of shade (at this price) is not very common in Indian brands. Can be purchased online HERE.

Love this shade i was on a hunt for a minty green shade for a while and was trying to fid a dupe of essie’s mint candy apple…but its so difficult to find such shades in Indian brands ..I got lakme fast and fabulous in storm green and wasnt satisfied with it either…..Thanks a ton for this review…ordering it right away from style craze.com….
It is such a rare shade, Lakme doesn’t make pastels like these. Hope you like it
Yay for opaque and workable consistency polishes!
It is a delicious colour and it suits you. Have you done a yellow?
Not done a yellow yet but would be doing a pale pastel yellow soon!
absolutely gorgeous Ankita…I’m not sure if we get colorbar here in the US but I saw a mint shade in the Essie collection and I wasn’t sure if it would suit Indian skin tones…you just convinced me to get it..
Pastel greens and mint are my absolute favorite this spring. Great blog…..thanks for the review!
