Taupe and Rosy Plum : Urban Decay and Bobbi Brown Face of the day

Hey everyone!

Today I’m doing a super simple neutral look with Urban Decay Naked Palette and Bobbi Brown lip and cheek products. I’m not fond of nude shades and everyday simple makeup for me would go something like I’ve done here.

Hope you like the look, do drop your comments below to let me know what you think!

  3. Urban Decay Naked (1) palette : Hustle and Virgin
  4. Motives mascara

How to achieve this look :

  • Prime eyes- I used Urban Decay primer potion on the lid right up to the browbone.
  • Next, apply a thick line on the upper lash line using a kohl pencil and smudge it slightly.
  • Apply a frost finish taupe eye shadow all over the lid and halfway on the lower lash line starting at the outer corner.
  • Apply a satin/matte finish highlighter on the browbone and inner corner. Blend the shade with the taupe in the crease.
  • Finish off with mascara

I’ve purposely left off the kohl to keep the look fresh.

Shade used on the lid ~ Hustle (frosty taupe)

Yes I got it from Dubai 🙂 Its around INR 2500. I really like the shades and more than that the quality is amazing. With the UDPP sample which comes with it, they stay on more than 12 hours without budging on my oily lids. I’m yet to try out more looks with the shades. I think its worth it, you could probably get dupes of these from Inglot but these are right there in one palette together!

Depends on the shades u like! If you want an intense matte black shadow, go for 2. I wanted the bluish shades. I think quality-wise both are same.

Wow, you’re making a good case for the Naked palette. Just when I thought I was over it, haha! And you’re reminding me that I need to try out a Pot Rouge.

Thanks Chris! Its not available in India so I got it from a relative abroad albeit a little late, I really like the quality of the shades more than the shades themselves! You must try out the Pot rouge, I’m wishing I had picked up another shade!
