Hey everyone!

Today I’m doing an eye makeup tutorial with a dazzling gold on the lid center smoked out with brown and blackened green. The look is perfect for an ethnic outfit for a festive event, a pooja or a wedding ceremony. It can be also be worn by brides to bring their eyes into focus with the dazzle of gold.  I had posted this look sometime back and had a few requests for the tutorial -

Products needed for this look :

  1. MAC Paint pot – Indianwood
  2. MAC eye shadow – Carbonized
  3. MAC pigment from Surf the Ocean pigment set (Surf Baby collection)
  4. Bobbi Brown long wear gel liner – Caviar Ink
  5. Bourjois Khol and Contour eye pencil – Vert Expressif
  6. Bourjois 1001 Cils mascara
  7. Maxfactor eye brown pencil – Ebony

Step 4 : Apply a true gold pigment with a wet brush on the lid.

You can also use a gold eye shadow but the look will be more subtle, use a damp brush to give a more intense effect.

Step 5 : Blend the gold using a blending brush (MAC 217)

Step 6 : Apply kohl on waterline. I have used a blackened green kohl pencil, you can use black or a blackened plum.

Step 7 : Smudge the kohl on lower lash line using a pencil brush

Step 8 :  Apply gel liner on upper lash line.

I have applied Bobbi Brown gel liner in Caviar Ink.

Step 9 : Finish off with mascara!

I have skipped highlighter as the gold itself is pretty strong, you can see compact powder on the brow bone for a clean look.

Finished look :

I’ve paired this eye look with Colorbar blush – Just Earth and Lancome La Laque Fever lip color in Rose Daria. The look is perfect to be paired with an ethnic outfit with a bit of gold work!

This is really stunning. I should do more with Indianwood. It’s in my eyebase/liner drawer. :)

Thank u so much Heena! You could use Gold pigment from Colorbar (not sure if its still available) or Gold eye shadow from Inglot 430 Pearl, brown eye shadow like Colorbar Spicy Brown or Inglot 423 Pearl will also work. You can buy Inglot online if its not available in your city.
