Hey everyone!
This week on Celebrity Makeup Files, we have singer Hayley Williams whose colorful and unique style is quite an inspiration!
I have been experimenting with bright eye shadows recently and I absolutely love how she sports bright colors on the eyes with total ease. Whether it be her hair color, the vibrant citrus eye shadows or an intense red lip, she makes a style statement that is unconventional and gorgeous!
EYES :
She has worn bright matte eye shadows in all colors possible – neon pink, orange. lime green, aqua blue, yellow and the list goes on! The trick to wearing brights on eyes is to keep the eye lashes really black and dense and line the upper lash line to further give the illusion of denser lashes, this is the simplest trick to make bright eye shadows appear ‘wearable’ ! In almost all of her looks, she wears a pair of dense yet natural looking false eye lashes. The liner is winged slightly at the outer corner.
While wearing a bright lip, she keeps the eyes simple with jet black winged liner with maybe a dash of metallic blue along the upper lash line, also winged.
LIPS :
With brights on the eyes, her lips are always a very soft natural pink or a soft coral red. The key to achieve this effect is to apply a shade of pink/red lipstick 2 shades darker than your skin tone and blot it off on a tissue to achieve a soft matte stained look.
Red lips look lovely against her porcelain skin, like the rest of look, she prefers a matte finish.
FACE :
Hayley is quite pale and she keeps her skin very natural with a semi-matte finish natural finish foundation and a bare hint of color on her cheeks. Keeping the face relatively simple and bare balances out the bright on the lips/eyes and the makeup does not appear overdone.
One of my favorite songs by Hayley Williams :

I like the soft green eye in the 3rd pic. Is she a natural red head? They tend to be very pale. Totally random – Did you know that redheads may disappear in another 50 years?
thats interesting! and about her hair color, tere’s quite a debate about her natural hair color though I believe it was a dirty blonde.
Such beautiful makeup!! I’ve always had good luck with bright eye shadows in terms of wearability, probably more than the muted ones.
they do tend to wear better! which are ur favorite bright eye shadows Gauri?
I loved the combo of green shadow with the red-orange lip. She’s certainly not afraid to take risks, which I love!
