The product comes in a bottle with a pump dispenser covered with a transparent cap. The bottle is a dark brown thick glass casing with a Omved label and product information on it. The pump dispenser dispenses enough product in 1 pump for both hands. The packaging has a therapeutic, pharmacy feel to it which I like. I don’t necessarily need my products to have a very fancy or attractive packaging but I need them to be sturdy. The transparent cap on top developed a crack within a day of use without any rough use incidents which I did not like. I like a hand moisturizer which is sturdy enough to be carried in my bag but because of its flimsy top, I cannot travel with this one.
The consistency of this white colored lotion is light but not runny. It absorbs quickly without leaving any greasiness behind and that is something I love about this product. It gives moderate moisturization in the sense that it will give temporary relief to the hands without making them greasy but it won’t work as a ‘treatment’ for very dry/damaged skin. Since I cannot carry the product with me, I keep it on my table and everytime my hands feel a little dry, I use 2 pumps of this lotion and it gives instant relief to my hands. Moreover, it does not make them oily so that I can get back to my laptop without leaving greasy stains all over the keyboard!
It has a strong scent which reminds me of Lavender but its probably the patchouli or ylang ylang (mentioned in the ingredients ). I do not detect jasmine which is also mentioned in the ingredients. I find the scent calming but I do not like the fact that it lingers. I just prefer my hands to stay unscented and they feel cleaner that way. Scents are very subjective and personal and everyone has their own preference. If you like the scent of Lavender, you will like the scent of this lotion too.
The GOOD about Omved Pampering Hand Moisturizer :
- Good Pump dispenser- hygienic and easy to use
- Light weight lotion
- Absorbs quickly
- Gives good hydration
- Does not make the skin greasy/oily
- Has a relaxing scent
- Does not contain parabens, sulfates, silicones, petrochemicals, glycols phthlates, synthetic color or perfumes
- Can be purchased online
The NOT-SO-GOOD about Omved Pampering Hand Moisturizer :
- Not suitable for very dry hands
- The top cap develops cracks soon
- Everyone may not like the scent
Overall, its a great hand lotion for day time use. Its quick absorbing and gives instant hydration without leaving greasiness behind which is just what you need in the day time. It has a soothing Lavender(like) scent which lingers for a while on the hands. I just wish the packaging, the top transparent cap in particular, was sturdier, so that I could carry this around in my hand bag. If you have very dry hands in need of intense hydration, this is not for you. But if you need light, non-greasy moisturization during the day, this will work fabulously!
