Orange is IN. Its been in vogue for a quite a while now and it looks like its here to stay! I’ve finally moved on from the purples and plums and embracing spring brights now as we come to the end of the winter season. I recently picked up some gorgeous brights from Inglot, you’ve seen the yellow eye shadow in my How to wear yellow eye shadow post and today I’m reviewing a bright deep orange lipstick – the freedom system lip color in no. 37.

Summarizing from previous reviews :
The texture of the Inglot lipstick is extremely creamy and yet it is quite light weight. It is super pigmented and even the teeny bit of product gives a good amount of colour. One would need a brush to apply the product on one’s lips. The lipstick spreads easily, does not get patchy or uneven and is super comfortable on the lips. It gives opaque coverage to the lips and covers up any pigmentation easily. The best part about this lipstick is its amazing staying power. It stays on the lips for about 7-8 hours with meals in between. The color does not bleed or smudge beyond the lip area neither does it get uneven as it fades. The finish is somewhere between creamy and semi-matte and it leans more towards semi-matte after a few hours of wear. It doesn’t feel drying even after 7-8 hours.

The shade no. 37 is deep orange - bright but not quite neon. It has a nice semi-matte finish and the color gives a nice pop of color to the face without looking clownish. I find neon/milky oranges difficult to carry which is why I wanted a deep orange which blends with my skin tone. This is just THAT shade! The color is beautiful for the spring/summer. Its quite versatile, you can pair with Indian wear as well as western wear. Its the perfect shade if you’re heading out for a bit of beach fun. You could even use it as a tint and top it with your favorite tinted lip balm for a soft color (I’ve worn it this way topped with Nivea Pomegranate lip balm in the last FOTD).
It looks bright in the swatch and on the lips too but like I mentioned, its not unwearable. If you’re looking for a bright orange, this is one shade worth checking out! It can appear more reddish on some people especially in artificial/low lighting. In the above pic with less light, it appears more reddish while in the image below in direct natural light, it appears more orange. It is a beautiful shade to own and I love Inglot Freedom’s system that allows one to try out different shades without burning a hole in the pocket!

Overall Verdict
Inglot lip colors are hands down one of the best lipsticks I have used. If you’ve not tried the Inglot lipstick refills, you are missing something in life! Highly recommended to everyone! One of the best textures and formula and at an amazingly reasonable price – definitely a must-try! The shade no. 37 is deep bright reddish orange that is wearable and gives a nice pop of color to the face. It bright but not quite neon which makes it easier to carry. Orange lips are here to stay and this is one lovely orange, do check it out!
