My take on the product

This is my first eye shadow from MUFE and I can say that I’m not disappointed!

The product comes in a sleek black rectangular casing which has a strip of transparency so that color is visible from outside. It doesn’t come with an applicator or mirror but since it wears well, I’m not complaining. The packaging is sturdy and the casing has magnetic locking so there is not danger of it opening if you traveling with it. I like the sleek packaging very much, it looks classy and elegant!

The texture of this eye shadow is soft and smooth. The powder is really finely milled and it feels luxurious and expensive when you use it. It is so smooth that it almost feels slick when used with fingers, too much pressure should not be used else it dislodges the powder from the surface. It is well pigmented and a little goes a long way, you don’t need to pack on the eye shadow for it to show up. With or without primer, it shows up well on the lids.  It blends very easily, doesn’t get patchy while blending and stays on well. On my oily lids, it begins to crease after 4-5 hours of wear if worn without primer, using a primer delays creasing by a good 4 hours. This pretty much the best wear I get from any eye shadow so I have no complaints! The formula is great and worth the price!

The shade 84 :

This is a beautiful true olive shade with a golden sheen. The shade is perfect for warm skin tones and goes well with cool as well as warm toned lipsticks. I love greens and olives and this has to be the most beautiful olive I’ve tried so far. It looks rather dull in the pan and the swatch too but you can see how pretty it looks on the eyes. The golden sheen is really subtle so women who love soft eye makeup will love this as well. You can’t go wrong with this shade, you don’t need to work hard to make this shade work. One can wear this with just kohl, liner and mascara and it looks lovely!  I just wish MUFE had a name and not just a number for its shades!

I’d highly recommend this shade to everyone! Its not quite neutral but not too bright or bold either, can be paired with various shades of lip colors and doesn’t need much effort to make it look and stay well.

 Overall Verdict

Make Up For Ever Eye shadow no. 84 is beautiful olive green eye shadow with a subtle golden sheen. The texture is smooth and luxurious, the pigmentation and blendability is great and it stays on well. Both the formula and the shade are breeze to work with and you can’t go wrong with this shade. It looks beautiful with pretty much all lip colors and would suit most skin tones. The quantity is quite good for the price as well. I’d highly recommend this formula as well the shade!
