My take on the product
Avon has launched 4 new Valentine shades. The lipstick bullet of these shades has the letters ‘LOVE’ embossed on them. Its a little cheesy but kinda cute at the same time, reminded be of Lakme Lip love lipsticks. The shades are pretty, there’s a warm pink, a pure peach, a cherry red and a plum shade – something for everyone!

Coral Pink is creamy and opaque pure peach shade. The shade is bright and pretty but I feel that its best suited for fair skin tones. It looked rather light on me though I do like the shade paired with an intense smokey eye. Its a lovely spring shade and if you’re fair complexioned, you should definitely pick up this shade! Since its a lighter shade,the staying power is about 3-4 hours, it does tend to settle a bit into lines and is not very moisturizing so a sheer gloss on top of this shade would work very well.

Fresh Rose (I’ve mistyped French Rose in the above image) is a beautiful warm pink that instantly brightens up the complexion. The shade has a freshness to it that makes the face glow! It has enough of warmth to suit warm/dusky skin tones as well. The shade is quite pigmented and it stains the lips – staying power is a good 5-6 hours. After the lipstick is gone, a pink tint still remains on the lips. I loved this shade and if I had to recommend one shade from the Valentine day collection, it would be this one! On the downside, the color tends to settle into the fine lines and after a few hours, one would need a bit of moisturization. But for a lipstick priced at Rs 100, it delivers more than what one expects!

Overall Verdict
Avon Valentine Color Bliss lipsticks are a limited edition collection of 4 lipsticks which have the letters LOVE embossed on the bullet. The formula is creamy and pigmented with a fairly decent staying power though the color does tend to settle into the lines. Coral Pink is a creamy pure peach shade, perfect for fairer skin tones while Fresh Rose is lovely warm pink that instantly brightens up the face. At the price, these are worth trying especially if you’re looking for pretty spring lip colors!

Yeah..the letters ‘LOVE’ embossed on the bullet do seem cheesy!!! But V-day does make us do all kinda wierd stuff….so went ahead and ordered all 4 shades!!!

Coral pink did remind of Brigitte Bardot – she used to wear this kind of pure peaches!
Its a little difficult to carry for medium/dusky skin tones but its a nice shade!

Revlon CB Peach is warmer, more peachier. Fresh Rose is warm pink so it will suit warm skin tones as well!
